I have a little three blade Buck I've had for years that I carry in my pocket, and then on a clip is my Gerber Outrigger. That Gerber feels amazing in hand and opens in a flash.

If I'm being more outdoorsy, I carry a fixed blade Case Ridgeback, which will absolutely split hide like it's not there. I've cut up deer, rabbits, and a wild hog with it, and have never wished for anything else.

Beautiful knife! Do you plan to use it for utility, daily work or is it just a self-defense blade?

Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed one.” – Jefferson

Carried one for a long time. Watch out Muggs, mine started to act up in training class. It would not open cleanly all the way. Why I do not know---possibly their patented locking system. I tried everything from cleaning it to adjusting the tension nut. Cleaning didn't help and the tension adjustment made the blade sloppy at lockup. I finally broke down and took it apart---MISTAKE. After taken apart it never was right. Finally gave up. Its kind of a heavy piece but a work horse of a knife. I am really picky about how I deploy and speed of deployment so the knife was a little iffy for me. With my OCD aside...great utility EDC knife IMHO.

I've carried mine for a little over a year now with no problems. Occasionally I'll clean the pivot point with solvent and lube it, but that's about it for maintenance. I'll keep an eye on it at you're suggestion. So far it has been lightning fast an smooth as a baby's butt. Razor sharp, too.

Primarily for EDC chores. The wharnclif style blade is good for cutting up cardboard, slicing, etc., but a BG would go Oww if poked.. The knife is modular and simple to break down. By getting the Insingo version first, CRK will sell and custom fit the regular blade. This will make it two knives in one.

Actually the knife I probably carry the most since I often times wear it on weekends when I don't carry any other is this little bitty neck knife I got from a buddy here.
It's an AG Russel and sharp as heck and seems to stay sharp. Never had to sharpen it yet and I'm afraid I'd mess it up.
Don't weigh anything, locks into a plastic type sheath with a release button and just down right handy.

Called a Hunters Scalpel and it's very appropriately named.

That's not a bad little neck knife. Reminds me of one of the wifes paring knives... hmmm.

My backup knife is a Gerber F.A.S.T. Draw with a 3" blade... very sharp. It only cost about $30 in Walmart and I can open it with my thumb or forefinger on either hand. The spring-assisted opening is safer than a fully automatic, button-operated knife. The only thing missing with it is a window-breaker on the other end.

I wear it clipped to my left front pocket when it's backup, and clipped in my right rear pocket as primary defense when I can't carry my pistol. I carry the Cadet LED ~300+ Lumens when I'll be out after dark.
