  • My man Mork reportedly gone.

Just saw on the internet (who can you trust) that Robin Williams killed himself.

Dog gone I liked that guy.

Too much pressure from Hollywood I guess.

    RIP

Dad: Say something nice to your cousin Shirley
Dietrich: For a fat girl you sure don't sweat much.
    Cue sound of Head slap.

    RIP Muggsy & TMan

Heard the same, sad indeed. My son played "call of duty" online with him many times. Whenever he was playing you could hear the boy laughing across the house.

    RIP Robin...
I was once asked if I was "a paranoid for carrying my Kahr".
    "Nope" I said, "just prepared".
" prepared for what" he asked?
    "more stuff than you are"
    God Bless our Troups!

I just saw that myself. Apparently he had been in some rehab for some kind of addiction in July. Gotta wonder when a guy seems to have it all going for him (at least on the surface) what would make him snap and do something like that.

Wonder if he pulled a "David Carradine"? Kind of a funny way to go... so to speak.
Judging by today's left wing, looks like Senator Joe McCarthy was right after all.

Some reports were that he was suffering from depression. A guy could lose his job, his house, and his marriage and wind up in depression. Easy to understand. That same guy could win the Powerball lottery for $100 million dollars and wind up in depression. Not so easy to understand. Depression is an odd bird in that it can be brought on by a lot of things - both good and bad.

Robin Williams was a member of the elite Hollywood left. He was anti-gun, anti-war and pro-abortion and pro-Obama. I didn't care for his movies or his form of comedy. Like a lot of people on the left he screwed around with alcohol and drugs. It cost him his life. BFD.

I chose to ignore his politics. I found him entertaining. And I hate to see this type of tragedy regardless.

The man was as talented at his craft as anyone could attain to. Unbelievable talent.
But how can you ignore who he was and what he stood for? I'm sure there is a true 'clinical' depression as a disease .... but I'll go way out of my bounds here and say that allot (dare I say the majority) of it is brought about by lifestyle. And that type of lifestyle is immune from success or failure.

I read the headlines this morning that he "Struggled with addiction". I speak somewhat from experience here .. not my own ... but my brothers daughter who died of OD and it killed me to watch all the great 'friends and family' talk about the same "struggle", as though it was some innocuous force that they have no control over. She, and probably Robin W too, made life choices and cultural decisions that destroy lives. These same friends and family stood in the corners as enablers by their 'hands off' neutrality.

I'm sorry if that sounds cruel. I love the mans talent and entertainment. I admire his ability to express himself. I truly wish his family peace and comfort. Three of his movies in particular , are among my all time favorites (Good WIll Hunting, Hook, and Dead Poets Society). But I find it very hard to stand neutral on the cultural (and that includes political) degradation of this country.

Drug and alcohol addiction with a genetic predisposition for depression.
Then heart surgery which often triggers depression.
I lost a brother to suicide myself.
                        It's very sad...

No hate on my part. I just had no use for the guy. Mine was a statement of fact. I have no use for a lot of the Hollywood left who tear down America at every opportunity.

Didn't agree with his political views either, but as a comedian and actor there are few that could/can hold a candle to the man. (JMO) One of my favorites was his routine about the invention of golf...friggin hilarious!WARNING: contains strong language http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcnFbCCgTo4
