  • Accuracy: MK9 vs K9

Looking for comments from people who have shot both the MK9 and the K9. For some odd reason I am waaayyy more accurate with the MK9 than the K9.

I don't find much difference between the sizes of the two and am a bit confused as to why I can shoot one much better than the other.

    Have others found similar issues?

    Thanks

I had both, but didn't notice any difference in accuracy. Must be something to do with how your hand fits the grip?

Let someone else shoot them, and see what they think.....................................otherwis e, it's probably " just one of those things."

I can compare an MK9 to a K40. Both are more accurate than I with slow deliberate aiming. I actually shoot the 40 better during SD drills. Probably because there is more to hold onto. I do notice that my MK9 accuracy is better with 124 or 147 grain bullets. JM2cents.

One would think the K9 would be a better shooter. I shoot allmy guns exactly the same: WORTHLESS
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

Well I'll try and hit the range again this weekend and see what happens.

I also notice that my MK seems more accurate with 147gr. compared with 115 gr..............coincidence?????????????

My MK40 Elite is crazy accurate.
                  Especially with 180 gr ammo.
My experience is every gun, and more specifically every barrel, is unique.
Some favor specific manufacturer and/or grain ammo.
Most quality guns will out shoot all of us in a ransom rest.

                  So when you shoot guns.
Personal ergonomics dramatically come into play.

IMHO what you shoot best? Comes down to you.
But a great gun doesn't hurt LOL!

Could have something to do with weight and heft... size for size, the heavier pistol (within reason) is usually easier to hold on target, less prone to effects of flinches, etc etc

As long as the gun is capable of minute of pie plate accuracy at seven yards that's all that is necessary.

Mugsy, yes I can do that. I just find it odd that with the K9 being just slightly larger than the MK9 I seem to be much more accurate with the MK9 which bugs me.

Which one gets more range time? Currently I'm surprised to find I'm actually a little more accurate with my P380 than my G17, because I've been shooting it lots more, ..not that my shooting is anything to go by.
                          Rest in peace Muggsy

The MK9 gets it now as it has become my favorite and EDC. I put some Talon sand grips on it and live the feel. I also have some nice wood ones for when I need to dress up
