    Hey guys,
Need everyone’s help. I have a CW9 and a Crossbreed Super Tuck holster great holster, but now I’m finding out that a good holster isn’t worth a damn without a good belt. I’m looking at the Looper Kydex Reinforced Leather Gun Belt. Has anyone tried this belt, and is it any good? Or should I go with an all leather belt? Any and all response would be greatly appreciated.

I too have been looking. These belts by Rafter S Gunleather got some good reviews and are priced pretty well. I'm thinking about ordering a black one in shark.

    Any other experiences out there?

Rafter S makes some good stuff but their delivery has been shaky from time to time. ElPaso Saddlery makes some great belts and they know what it takes to support a pistol. I get mine made for me at Slade's Saddle shop in Luling Texas. They make a double thickness belt that will support almost anything. I have 3 of them and they last a long time. With my CW9 on my belt, I don't even know it is there.

I've been using a Galco belt for several years that has proven very capable to hold my CCW fast and tight. They are readily available online or also in a couple local shops around me.

I have to admit, I haven’t spent much money on a belt. One of my favorites is just a plain ole heavy weight wide leather belt with a reasonably heavy buckle. I got it at a big-box retailer for under $20. It has enough adjustment for IWB and OWB, and is thick and stiff enough for any holster. If you haven’t looked into 5.11 pants and shorts, do so. They are comfortable, functional, look good and by far have been one of my better purchases. I grabbed 3 pair of slightly irregular shorts (color irregulars that I couldn’t tell) for under $20 each. Pockets in the right places and the elastic waist that gets hidden with a belt is great for transitioning between IWB & OWB. http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/511-Tactical-Cotton-Tactical-Shorts.aspx?a=649970&kwtid=480178 I bought an Uncle Mikes belt 4 months ago and wore it twice: too stiff and screams tactical.

Mitch Rosen's Express Line of belts have given me years of service. My brother has two belts from The Beltman which are excellent as well.

We're both typically carrying 5in. all steel 1911's with them.

Buy well once, and you'll only cry once.

Make sure the belt width and the loops or slots on the holster match.

              Hope this helps.

I also use the Mitch Rosens. Great belt, reasonable price. Last a long long time.

I'm currently wearing a belt from:
                      Harness Leather Belts
which I like a great deal. I've also had good luck with:

Does anyone have much experience with 5.11 belts? I saw that lapolicgear.com has them on sale for $13, which sounds like a great deal to me, but I didn't know if any of you have had good experiences with them or not?
