It makes people like my wife more interested in a firearm. She enjoys shooting my Ruger 10/22, but doesn't have a lot of desire to have her own....until she saw the new Pink special edition Ruger is doing. In that regard I think it's a great trend. It makes people who may not have really wanted a gun, want one, because it feels more personal for them.

The color concern........ not all guns are stainless or blued anymore

I just stick with good old stainless or black personally, and I generally only get blued if I cant find stainless. I am still not all that sold on the painted finishes yet, I understand they are quite durable but they do eventually wear off... gun blue I can touch up myself and stainless you can just bead blast or polish again if it starts looking rough. as far as the the polymer frame, I get whatever color is cheapest at the time. any money saved buys more ammo or a P-mag or two
I really just dont like the idea of sending my old gun in for a paint job like an old car lol

About the only thing other than blued or stainless that remotely blows my dress up is color case hardening. That blows my dress up clean around my neck.
If it pleases folks, that's a good thing.http://bawanna45.wix.com/bawannas-grip-emporium#!
