I was at cabelas today and I was looking at used rifles. I've been in the market for a 22 pistol but can't find one I like that fits my budget. I was looking at the used rifles and I found a really neat old 22 pump action rifle. I think it might have been a remington. I didn't get to look at it too much but I'm considering going back for it tomorrow. It was 135 dollars. It had a little scope on it too nothing special.

TheRemington Field Master was a nice little gun and accurate enough to pot rabbits or squirrels.Never trust anyone who doesn't trust you to own a gun.

The answer to should i buy a gun is always YES!
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

If it's in good shape and functions correctly, then that is an excellent price. A steal if in very good condition.
Another low cost yet excellent .22 is the Marlin model 60. Sometimes seen as low as $100.Judging by today's left wing, looks like Senator Joe McCarthy was right after all.

Sounds like the story of my life. I hope you learned something from this. Easy for me to say because THIS TIME it didn't happen to me.Originally posted by Gene Hackman View PostWell crap. I went to get it today and it was gone. Somebody got a steal of a deal. And to top it off I got outbid by 50 cents on a high noon holster. Shoulda, woulda, coulda.
We've all second-guessed our decisions. When this happens to me, I remind myself that things happen for a reason. Maybe there's a better deal around the corner, waiting for your 135 bucks. Or maybe that old gun didn't work right and you're lucky to have walked away. You seem to have had your share of "bad luck". Gotta agree, Seems every time I find a good deal on something I want and can afford but walk away from aint there when I go back....Happened last June, one Friday afternoon on my way home from work I stopped in a LGS and found a real nice low miles Colt AR-15 with several upgrades and Magpul furniture for $795.00 out the door...At the time I didn't know enough about AR rifles to know what to look for so I got my buddy who does know about AR's to go with me Saturday morning with cash in my pocket to buy it if it checked out....Shop owner said he just sold it, buyer was there when he opened because he know how good of a buy it was....
I did go from there to the gun show and picked up a S&W M&P-15 and am very happy with it but that Colt sure was nice....Moral of the story is if you find something you want and it's talking to you it's best to take it home because if you don't the next guy probably will...."
