Is there any benefit to adding XS Big Dot sights to my CW380?

No comments? Anyone ever add XS Big Dot Sights to their Kahr pistol?

^^ Not sure how your thread slipped through unnoticed. I know that several members have added Big Dots to their Kahrs and like them. I'm tritium personally so I cannot speak first hand. But given the small factory sights on the CW380, I bet the Big Dots are an even better improvement...

      Go for it.

I didn't respond because I don't have a 380 but I have Big Dots on my PM45, had them on the Glock 21 I just pedaled.

I love them. I'll probably have them on everything sooner or later. No reason they wouldn't be good on a 380 I guess.

My only Kahr, a MK40 Elite, runs factory three dot NS.
I actually love XS Big Dots.
And have them on most of my carry guns.
But for some reason I can't explain?
I prefer the factory three dot NS on my Kahr.
Had Big Dots on my HK45c and hated them.
Switched to Heinie Tactical SlantPro QWIK (which I Love).
And have adjustable Meps on my HK USPT45 (they are to kill for).

For me, sights are personal preference and platform dependent.
Sorry to muddle things up so much - LOL!

BTW really love a Big Dot on the nose of my snubbies!

I'm with Barth. I have Big Dots on an LCR, fantastic. I have them on a PX4, and don't really like them there.

I don't really like the lollipop sights on the Kahr and switched all Kahrs to 3 dot night sights after getting a K9 that came with them. It felt like a target gun compared to my other Kahrs with those sights.

It isn't the sights, it is me. My eyes just don't line things up vertically well with the big dots. I would not have had that issue with my eyes from 20 years ago. I can't explain why they work so well on the LCR. I think the rear sight there works really well with the dot for me.

You guys are right, It's platform dependent. I like FO frt sights on revolvers yet I put one on a High Power and I shoot terrible with it. 3 dot tritium works better for me on most pistols. And it's definitely personal preference...

                LOL - I see 20/15 with contacts.
It's not just you - LOL!
There's just something about factory three dot NS on a Kahr.
                At least for me.
                Personal Preference? For sure!
                Platform Dependent? Absolutely!

wow I was thinking of those sites but not so sure now. They just seem so logically better than OE sites. I have heard the front site isn't realy tight on Kahrs and tend to loosen with time. Anyone confirm that?

                    Not me.
2K plus rounds in 40 S&W (mostly LE).
And my factory sights are tight as when the gun was delivered.

I've got Big Dots on my Glock 27 (6K+ rounds in three calibers), identical twin P2000 357/40s (2K+ each),
P2000SK in two calibers (357/40) 2K+ rounds, and two J-frames with around 2K rounds.
                        None are loose.

Look up whatever internet drivel you want.
What lame useless gunsmith installed those Big Dots?

I don't mean to be mean.
But there's nothing wrong with Big Dots.

Do I need to say ban me now like Jocko?

My K40 is from 1998 and the sights were still a B**tch to get off when it was time for new tritiums. For me the tritium NS on a Kahr are more precise. That big dot on the front is great for quick acquisition but the 3 dots align quicker and better for me.

Yes, mostly I love Big Dots.
                            But on on Kahr?

I have a CW380, so the front site is pinned. How hard is it to remove this pinned site and install new sites, the tritium NS?
