  • Bad dream...

I have a surestrike laser ammo that I use in my CM40 at home for practice. I have targets set up around the place, varying distance, lighting, and stuff. So I'm always running around shooting things up. I had a dream last night where apparently I forgot to swap out the live ammo with the laser, and I shot up my place! I was arrested, and when I argued that it was my place and my stuff, they said something about me not being mentally stable! Sheesh. Then I woke up and was very thankful nothing was going on!

But it's your place and your stuff, why did they arrest you? Sounds like a damn nightmare to me, I'll probably have the same dream tonight and I don't have one of them laser dodads.

I had a buddy that would practice pistol drawing in front of a mirror. He accidentally shot that mirror three times. Fortunately no one hurt just his reflection.

He probably didn't use that mirror again!😜

What effect does that have on ones mothers back. I guess if you don't step on the crack she's ok?

man, I'm confused .... we have a fat guy getting arrested for shooting in his own back yard, another guy in a "holy" place, a mention of seven years of bad luck over the broken mirror thing, then stepping on the crack and breaking Mom's back.....

I'm not sure if I need another beer, or hit the cheap tequila ....

surely if you're really an "old" fatguy you should know that if you step on the crack in the sidewalk you'll break your Mom's back ....

Guess it depends on how you've lived. If you've lived a good life and taken care of yourself, you're not old. If you lived like me, well, it sure feels old!

Good point. I totally get the feel old part. Some days I feel 80, on good days I feel well 59 1/2.

Uhh.... sometimes bad dreams come true. You need to have a clear delineation between practice and carry. I did the same as you to practice SA/position/draw/shoot but the SA doesn't go away when carrying. When just walking through the house I saw a target and automatically reached for the loaded carry gun. I took the targets down and was thankful nobody got hurt. I wished for a range like setup for that practice but ours won't even allow a draw.
