Now they are going to ban long bladed pointed cooking knives, since there have been some stabbing with them. And some domestic arguments have resulted in some stabbings. Plus one family waved a knife thru the window at some punks trying to break in. The Police consulted some chefs who said there is no need for a cooking knife over a certain length to have a point on it. I guess hunting knives are legal in certain restrictive situations, since there is no hunting that I know of there, maybe trapping is still legal.
I suppose they will get around to banning anything that can be used as a weapon, cricket bats, golf clubs, pitchforks, sticks, stones. I guess the only knife legal to carry in the UK is a manual opening pocket knife with a blade less than 3 inches. Also, I found out one of the reason's their murder rate is as low as it is, is they only count ones that are solved and someone is convicted. Their conviction rate is about 50 percent, as is the rate of solved murders. What a country.
