  • My new FAT BIKE....

Thought I'd share a pic of a very fun ride, even if it doesn't have a 45 degree V twin engine!

I see the shotgun. That's great. Goes nicely with the frame. Your old fat bike was stolen if I remember. As long as you are present with the shotgun I expect thieves will stay their distance.

I see it now but I admit I didn't before and I had to look for it some.

          It hides very well.

Wow i had to look for a minute or 2 to see it. I like it but it causes a problem, its now one more thing i want.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

With a few shells in the side saddle, the shotgun would be much more prominent. What shotgun is it? I don't see a pump and it has a nice, short barrel. A semi would be easier to shoot one handed and that may be what it is!

                Serbu Super Shorty.

Hey let me say too, that Mark Serbu is a class act. Turns out my barrel was defective. The ring on the end was tilted a few degrees and made the inside of the receiver bind, and was hard to get off/on, and... shells caught on the barrel's edge. Some not overly carful measuring showed the barrel was canted a good 5 degres to the left.

I emailed Mark, as there was no fix short of cut and weld... He answered promptly, I sent the barrel to him, and it was replaced in two days. New barrel fits as it should, and everything is nice and simple to take apart, and it feeds like an 870 ought to. Great service.

My attention was devoted to type of pedals, clipless or not. Did think the fork had a different type of suspension, took a good long while to decipher it.

No clipz. Rigid framr. 26x4.25 tires. I slimed the tubes....as they osmosed air. No mo' osmosis. Used a rollin pin to push it around inside, then squeezed the excess out. No mess, no heavy spot. Udder than that, wysiwyg.

Bike is heavy by roadbike standards. Bout 36lbs, and thats all aluminum parts xcept fork. Slowiah, but ball bustin fun.

Recently, a local bike rider here was killed while riding the trails in the south part of Austin. His pedal caught on a stump and he flipped over forward hitting his head. The impact cracked his helmet, breaking his neck.

Austin is a big bike riding town. Probably because Lance Armstrong has been based here for years.
