My wife and I never could have kids, so we are very close with our 6 nieces and nephews. They basically grew up 1/2 mile from us, and three of them actually lived with us when home from college to escape younger siblings! Our oldest nephew and his wife are super close with us and are coming up for Thanksgiving, but weren't going to bring their three kids [staying with grandparents] Well, they called a bit ago and the kids ARE coming! YEAH! Uncle Bacon [long story] and Sue Sue are gonna get to spoil them rotten!
