FYI - I bought a used Jetta a few weeks ago and I started hearing a buzzing noise coming from behind the dash. I went on the Interweb and checked out Youtube for a possible diagnosis, found the part, and scheduled my local dealer to install. I admit I was holding my breath a bit but the diagnosis was correct and the problem is fixed. You can figure out almost anything on Youtube if you just know how to search well. This time it saved me a couple hundered $$$$. It's easy to say now but it was a good gamble IMHO.

Every once in awhile you can find a real gem on You Tube. Beware of the videos that feature duct tape and WD-40 as sure cures.

if it moves, and it ain't supposed to move - duct tape. If it don't move and it's supposed to move - WD40. My Dad told me so 50 years ago.

        What could go wrong?

Wifes Yukon was blowing hot air out of the top vents with the A/C on the coldest setting....The stealership wanted $600.00 to fix it...Went on Youtube and found out this is a common problem and the fix is a $60.00 plug in motor...Went to AutoZone and got the part and had it fixed in under an hour....There's lots of good info on the ole interweb....

I hope you soaked that motor with WD40 before you secured it in place with duct tape.

You Betcha, That WD-40 is some good stuff...My wifes uncle swore by it, he rubbed it on his knees and elbows and said it worked on his arthritis but I think it was the quart of Vodka he kept stashed under his work bench that really did the trick....

Yep, absolutely got to have good wire coat hangers ... how else do you make a good muffler hanger. Unfortunately, the new plastic coat hangers don't seem to work so well. The old brass hangers even made good brazing wire.

We used to spray wd40 on our fishing lures. It was a great attractant. But then they went and changed the formula or something...

You got that right. That stuff was an unbelievable fish attractant. In a side by side test WD40 out fished natural bait 10 to one. Too many tree huggers complained that the fishermen were polluting the water with it. Most complained right after spreading chemical fertilizers all over their lawns.

                            Noooooooo... Don't do it!

                            It might upset a liberal.

                            "Nope" I said, "just prepared".
" prepared for what" he asked?
