Texas laws weigh heavily in favor of the good guy. Even if bad guy was shot in the back. If that were the case he would have been protecting the public from imminent danger. Good guy must not have had the opportunity to get a good bead on him while still in the waffle house. Kudos for taking the fight outside and reducing the danger risk to the other patrons.
