Seems like we still have a divided country, those who live in reality and those who will suspend a child for playing going Bang-Bang with his finger. But that seems to be the way of life now. Now I ran across this article and shake my head AGAIN!! Guess we should just draw a line down the middle of the country, let them live there and us on the other side but you know where all the criminals will go!!!!! and yes IT WILL BE THE GUN FREE ZONE. I remember when I was small we used to get potato guns at the 5&10 sort of like a pistol you push the muzzle tip in a potato the squeeze in and it spit out a little piece of spud. Now that would be a felony offense, I just don’t get what this society has turn into. SNOWFLAKES that melt with the thought of self defense.
OK I’m done it’s you guys turn

If this weren't so insanely stupid it would almost be funny.

I went on a cruise to Alaska several years ago, wife is threatening to make me go again this year. Getting through security was equal or slightly more intense than when I flew to San Diego last year. Side note, son was 2 years a Marine yesterday, thought I'd throw that out there.

What gets me is the outfits that auction or sell off all the seized little knives and stuff they don't allow. They must bid on lots of the stuff and then resell.

If they'd just go back to profiling (I could provide instruction) we could do away with all this silly hocus pocus.

The planes would be a lot less crowded, everything would be better.

This is the spud gun I was thinking about when I wrote my thread, guess them days are over now.
That and a fishing pole was a good way to grow up, but then my big brother show me 22's many moons ago and the rest is history

          .
I was profiled last July at Disney World. Kinda made me mad. They took my .38 special bullet key chain (with no primer) with Montana on the side that my daughter gave me cause it was "ammunition". Short Barney Fife looking character pulled me out of line for a "random" shakedown. Watched me like I was going to ditch something while while taking me for a search. Made me walk through a metal detector cause I might have a gun hid up my .... never mind. I know they secretly took my picture too.

Picked me out because I was the big hillbilly looking guy in a white tee shirt, Panama shorts, a ball cap, and sneakers like I had somewhere to hide anything. Let my asian brother in law and his British wife through without a second look. Let all the arabs and gays through too. Guess they targeted me to make their quota.

If I hadn't already paid my $100 for a ticket to spend a day with my in laws I would have just left. Guess its good I took my .38 out of my pocket huh?

oh, by the way, that happened 3 days before the mu $lim shot up the gay night club. Same dude scoped out Disney they say too. Good thing they picked the hillbilly to harass not him.

          Ok, I'm done
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

Want to see what will be the end of our country as we know it???

Disney is like Hollyweird, a very left organization. Wouldn't give either one a nickle.

They have a bag check, and just poke around with a big chop stick looking thing.
Remember, I lived 20 minutes from Diny Whirl and had a resident annual pass.
I went in with my carry fanny pack many times, empty of course, except for one time I forgot I had my North American Arms 22lr 5 shot revolver/derringer in one of the side pouches along the belt/strap.
All they did was poke that stick around the main compartment and never found it.
I apologize if my post contains the same or similar information as someone who has posted before me.

We went to Disney World a couple weeks ago (daughter's 6th B-day). They had a line for bag searches. None of us had a bag, so we went straight to the turnstiles. Nobody thought we looked dangerous I guess since we got through ok. The second day I brought a shoulder bag to Animal Kingdom and the guy spent about three seconds pawing through it, then waved me along.

Lots of Muslims visiting that day, head wraps and everything. I'm sure they were the "good" Muslims who wouldn't hurt a fly, but they did gather important intelligence info for their mosque-mates who aren't so "good."

When I showed my 9 year old grandson, who attended private school, in California, how to make a "gun" with a forefinger and thumb and said, "Bang, bang . . ." then asked him if he and his friends can do this in school, his eyes got big and he said, "Nooo". This was done all the time when I was a child as did all of my friends so WTF has changed? I suppose when the Brits were running this country, we said, "Please stop pushing us around!" and we waved our handkerchiefs at them so they boarded their ships and returned to England. I suppose at the Little Big Horn, Custer told the Indians, "Now play nice." so the Indians left the scene. I suppose we told the Japanese right after Pearl Harbor, "That wasn't nice." so they just went back to Japan. Today, clearly we are a divided nation with some of us rooted in reality and some of us rooted in how it nice it should be. IMO, this PC is being carried to absurdity. PC can get us killed.
BTW, my son and his family have relocated to Arizona where my grandson now shoots real guns with his father at their local range.

That's gotta be a genuine antique Harry. Kind of cool too.
I've made a few big spud guns with the hair spray or propane propellant. More like mortars than a gun. Kind of scary too.
I took out a mailbox and post at probably 150 yards once. Quite impressive, a very lucky shot and several sacks of potatoes to dial it in.

I've met very few liberals that live in reality, most of them just seem to have checked-out of life. Maybe it's because of the drug culture, not really sure.

Don't leave out those that think they are "Educated." They know better than the rest of us. My LGS owner has a sister that has a PhD and teaches in college and he says she couldn't have been raised by the same parents that raised him.
