  • whats the problem with stand your ground?

so three punks break into a home and get dead and there's a problem with stand your ground laws? In OK at that? Is the Kali cancer getting a foothold in the great state of OK?

Looks like "overkill" to me. Shoot with a 30 round magazine utill no one is left standing?

Yes, the cancer is deep and has spread widely.

Don't see how this could question "stand your ground". Of course, the media can claim anything and get away with it.

It seems that because they couldn't take our guns away they have now decided the new way is to make it a crime to use them under any circumstances. If three "alleged" criminals are shooting at you for goodness sake don't shoot back. Ah yes. Rust never sleeps.

I didn't see any problem mentioned in the story. Three armed crooks in the commission of a premeditated felony killed by someone legally defending himself. A good shoot if ever there was one. The get-away driver charged with murder is the key. The cops know who the bad guys are in this case.
Judging by today's left wing, looks like Senator Joe McCarthy was right after all.

Keep in mind the "story" is by ABC New and posted by Yahoo.

So, in utter words, nothing to see here folks. Let the professionals (as in law enforcement and not liberals) do their job.

This isn't a stand your ground case at all. This is castle doctrine all the way

Nothing wrong with either of those laws as long as the right person(s) assume room temperature.

In this case that appears to have occurred.

assume room temperature---that is a very unique way of saying a lot.

They were dressed in black and masked. Nothing will happen.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

unless there are holes in there backs, I don't get it what argument can be made against the shooter.

That's exactly right. I'm not sure how stand your ground statue would apply to these circumatances. This seems to pertain very explicity to castle law. The defender acted within a private residence.
I'm guessing "stand your ground" verbiage has been forever politically charged by the media, due to the highly publicized Trayvon Martin case out of Florida.

With an AR15, there's probably a hole all the way through. Easy to pick which is the entrance wound, though. Not that it proves anything, though.

As for SYG, it's Yahoo fake news, pure disinformation.
