      My Yahoo got hacked.
Changed the Password and was immediately hacked again
Had to switch from passwords to an ever changing soft token sent to my phone.
      Problem Solved

Now I check account activity and look for people other than me logging in...

I can look at recent activity.
Where, and with what device, someone is logging on to my account.
When a SOB in Texas is logging on to my account?
          And I'm not in Texas?
          Something is horribly wrong...
          If you're hacked?
Just changing the password may not be enough.
I have email alerts on all transactions over $10 on my credit cards.
My credit is actually frozen on all three credit bureaus.

how'd you get your yahoo email to allow using a soft token? I use that for VPN but didn't know it could be used on yahoo email like that.

I've never used any of the free internet providers. How do I check or find out if I'm hacked. I feel so violated.

                    It's called an Account Key.
I think you go to Manage Accounts and select/configure account key settings.
It replaces using a password completely
When I try to log in to yahoo on my chromebook.
A fresh 4 digit number is sent to my cell phone for access.
                    Works great.
Under Manage accounts you can also select Recent Activity.
There you can see locations and devices accessing your account.
It may include IP address as well.
                    Good stuff.
You should be able to use help or just Google for information.
                    Search for Yahoo account key.

                    Sorry for the cryptic guys.
Guess I've given away my secret identity.
                    Professionally I'm a Software Engineer

Well Barth, it ain't me. I couldn't hack anything except a mid-sized loogie.

I wanna know how others know I'm hacked when I don't even know myself. I did put my own address first on the contact list. Somebody told me if somebody starts sending junk from my email I'll be the first to get it, maybe they got around that now days.

AIRret, you must be in wifi range, you've not been present lately. Haven't seen any trip updates of late neither, your not thinking about seeing other people are you.
My best to you and the convict. I know he didn't do it.

Best to get rid of yahoo...................I know it's a pain, but they continuously get hacked. Get out while the gettin's good, before they cause you real damage. They haven't stopped it in over a year.
