Looks like one of Maggie's relatives...............................she really doesn't need any turkey. When we rescued her, she was 48 lbs. and they said that she wouldn't get any larger. She now tips the scales at 60 lbs. and she's right where she should be with a bit of ribs showing, and still growing.

That looks exactly like one of my mom's pecan pies. Exactly the way she make them.

Nothing finer in the whole wide world when it comes to pies. Hopefully she'll have a couple tomorrow when we get together.
Remodeled her house many years ago and sub contractors, electricians and plumbers threatened to boycott if they didn't get a pie each weekend. We were only working weekends.

That sure looks fine.

Actually, we had a great Thanksgiving dinner at the chow hall on Fort Huachuca, which is in Sierra Vista AZ.
It's one of the rare times they allow retired military and their spouses in. It was by FAR the best chow hall meal either of us ever had. The meats alone included;
turkey, ham, prime rib and king crab legs….and it got better from there!!

Of course if we were back in Michigan we would have had an excellent meal with family and friends.

Took a shot of my mom's Pecan Pie yesterday. Sure looks a lot like Armybrats.


Course it didn't last long.


On the bright side she made several and I got a brand new one in the fridge. Life is good.
