Not until the socialists party is in control of the government. If new gun ban laws were made, why wouldn't the resulting panic affect all evil black assault weapons of war.
Judging by today's left wing, looks like Senator Joe McCarthy was right after all.

I think the panic has already begun.

Was looking to pick up a S&W M&P Sport II, or a Ruger AR556 - just in case. Three weeks ago, Bud's had 'em both for under $500.

Checking several online sites, like Bud's, Grab-A-Gun, etc, they're either sold out, or the price has gone through the roof.

      Not cool.

I've asked myself that same thing. My inital thought is no that it will drop or remain flat until some gun ban starts. Then we may see some increase if we can legally sell them.

I'm sitting on a couple of quality manufactured AR's that I bought around 2012/2013 that I know I couldn't sell for anything near what I paid for them new. So...... I reckon I need to just keep them.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

One year before the 2016 election an acquaintance bought 300 stripped lowers for something like $75 ea. Trump gets elected and the value dropped. Now????
One year before the 2016 election I had absolutely no desire or use for but "because", my 13 year old grandson built a really nice quality AR15 plus mags, full on spare parts kit as well as a few thousand rounds of ammo.
Seldom shot, often fondled and a smile every time I pick it up.
Would I do it now if I did not have one? In a NY minute.

Try to find a PMag about now. And the price has already gone up.

I notice Brownells still has the 100 PMag package in stock, or did have a couple days ago.

Imagine they'll start breaking those up if things get worse.

What sucks is what effects us in the price availability area also effect police departments. When the ammo panic was on and the hoarding was going on it was a bad deal. Took months to get ammo.
We've built up a pretty good inventory for our small department and try to maintain it just for this reason.

I was at two LGS yesterday, both reported increased sales on AR's, not panic buying, about double the normal rate. One guy is really small, has a day job, and runs a gun shop in the evenings, (cheapest FFL charge in town $15 if you have a permit, 20 without.). He starts out with basic AR's, adds scopes, tripods, etc...He said he usually sells 3-4 per week, sold 6-7 last week. No run on ammo in my area....yet.

^ Nah, I don't need no stinkin' AR-15s for that. Gots my 7.62x39s and .308s and they're way better for in the meantime deer hunting than 5.56.

Gave both of mine away to sons for Christmas along with a bunch of Pmags & ammo. Ain't gonna replace them.

I have absolutely no problem with those that like the AR platform. I just can't justify the need, or want. I'm just a compliant serf .... just a few lever guns

Don't own an AR and honestly don't want one.
We have already experienced ammo and firearm shortages.
Enough times, lasting long enough, to change how many of us feel about ammo and firearms.
I'm pretty comfortable with whatever the future holds.
