  • Another little Kahr followed me home! Yay!

My first Kahr was a CM40. I loved it’s power in such a small package. So, this 9mm one popped up and had to grab it. CM9 with a kydex holster, 3 mags (1 flush, 2 pinky) and a box of Hornady for $250, I think I stole it! Can’t wait to take it to the range (hopefully tomorrow, if my chootin buddy stops lolly gagging). I plan to shoot it and the MK9 one after another for a comparison. Curious to see if any seat of the pants differences will unfold.

They will, but to no great extent. My MK9 has less felt recoil than my PM9, for the obvious reason. No big deal, and other than that they for me shoot the same.

I am hoping it shoots the same. What little I've shot the MK, it was AWESOME! I think the little CM is a chunker for a polymer gun, so I think it should be a bit less recoil than maybe my Shield. Maybe not, if all of that weight is in the slide. My hope is that the trigger makes me shoot as good (lol!) as the MK trigger does. I've never been too good a shot with double actions (hence my love of 1911's and da/sa revolvers), but I do fair enough with the MK (and K9) at the range.
          Thanks!

I think this one is going to be let alone as is. I did a P9 and a CW45 one time. It is amazing once you strip the finish off just how wavy/grainy the slides were. Whatever finish Kahr puts on them, it is very good at filling in and hiding imperfections. Had a devil of a time getting them to look how I like. That, and I also have a few up for bench time right now. I put my AMT back-up a step back in the line and started on a Springer compact (just last night) since it’s cool out. Then, I think I wil do the MK, so it kinda matches up with the K. I’ve gotta stop this insanity at some point! But, I’m thankful that I have the mental and physical ability to do that kind of stuff. I meet so many who love guns, but have lost a lot of the joy due to arthritis, neuropathy, etc. I better do it whilst I can!

Simple, you just use mustard instead of polishing rouge. Duh!
