I would never fault you for that (speaking your mind, or cancelling that subscription). We all are cut from varying cloth. If all the same, that old "supply & demand" thing would bite us in the wallet I'm sure! Your input is always respected and appreciated as I feel you are one who is "in the know" (insert thumbs up and smiley face here).

I agree completely- the world is not ready for Bawanna! [emoji4]

I don’t carry with that extension as it does defeat the purpose of a small pistol. I usually carry with Lakeline’s billet plus one which is very small but does enable me to get a three fingered grip (small guy). Can post a pic of that later.

That being said, Kahr’s 7 round mags for the CM9 look awful and the Pachmayr feels really good in the hand.

I'll have to look at that billet piece. I have had a billet extension on a nightstand gun (have a plastic one now). I get what you guys are saying about extensions on compacts/subcompacts. On this one, I was going for the cool factor, as that initial pic showing a good fit kinda got me going. On a side note, I now carry a Sig P365, and do carry with the 12 rounder vs the 10 rounder. I can grip it much better and the extended/12 rounder difference in length is negligable. My bug is a LCP, and will be putting the Ruger extended mag on it. Again, the difference is negligable. I carry using Liberty Civil Defense ammo, so weight is even less than with flush mags filled with standard defense rounds.

In this instance I could never grasp why one buys a small compact gun for convenience and then adds stuff to it to make it big.

I used to subscribe to the theory that you can put a flush mag in and have both, but I think I cancelled that subscription.
I agree 110%.. I just didn't want to say it. Why not just get a K9 instead of a MK9 and making it the size of the K9?. I know that the OP is concerned about appearances, but the MK9 looks funny and disproportionate with either extension. Again, if you want lools and capacity, you should want a K9...

Then again, it's their pistol paid for by their hard earned money, so it's really none of my business about what they do with it... I just personally will never understand it.

I carry my MK40 with a Pearce pinky extention to get a full grip, but with the way it's designed, it really doesn't hinder concealablity.

              Question for Alfonse at Lakeline

With the billet plus 1 (and a couple of layers of bike inner tube on it to make it grippier). 7+1 in a very small package that gives me a full 3 finger grip.

My only complaint about Kahr is that they could do a much better job with their magazines.

I have to agree on the factory mags, room for improvement there. Many don't like the gap and many prefer the metal base plates.
I don't have any of the metal ones, not sure they even make them for the 45's.

Unhappy update: Alfonse responded when I contacted Lakeline. To put it short, pushed me off to Lakeline. Lakeline said past 10 days, not their problem. Not happy with Lakeline or Shapeways, Lakeline’s affiliates. I will certainly never do business with either of those two companies again, and if someone were to bring them up, I would give my two cents. I know others here have had a good experience. Wish I could say the same!

Well that’s disappointing. I thought Alfonse and Lakeline were one and the same.

Apparently not. Al basically stated, in a round about way, that it was there concern/product/customer service concern. That was my take.

They are the same. Al opened Lakeline for his special needs son and friends of the same.
This does not sound like the Al that I know. Not to say something hasn't happened and he's not as involved. I don't know.
Shapeways and others I'm sure are contractors they hired to mold the products they design.

Let me send a message to Al and get the straight skinny on this.

Al just contacted me. It sounds like he is going to try to find me the correct fitting parts. Thanks so much if that was on your behalf. I was about to post the MK up for trade as I was so over it.
Thanks again so much. I’m very excited to get the proper fitting parts. I hope to Love the MK again!!!

                            Good turn of events.

It’s probably good Al knows that a couple of his customers aren’t thrilled with the Shapeways stuff.

That being said his billet plus 1 extensions are high quality and a great way to add capacity with only a little added grip length and his 380 striker is high quality.

Yes sir, I certainly hope so!
I love his grips. I'm sure I'll love the mag parts if he can get me into the correct fitting stuff (fingers crossed). I will have nothing but great stuff to say about him if so. Shapeways maybe not.
I had looked at his striker back when I had a cw380. It looked/read like a lot was put into making it "bullet proof". No doubt they/he makes some good stuff!
I just looked up the billet +1 extension. Looks like a quality piece! I like how the front is curved/radiused. If anyone has one on a K9 or MK9 PLEASE POST A PICTURE! : )

I think we're getting this sorted. He ordered the base for the 2 round (8 round mag) and the sleeve for the 7 round mag. So, it doesn't fit well. Shapeways is alright. I use other folks for other parts at times, but not because their quality is bad. Their pricing has gone up lately though. The quantity of the Kahr parts is minuscule, so printing is the best way to go.
