no gun on apartment lease?

    no gun on apartment lease?

    Well guys i recently moved to nice apartments in antioch tennessee out of the ghetto ones i was in. In the lease it states a no gun policy. I would like to order a recoil spring for my pm9 since its near 1500rds and a crossbreed holster. My mailbox is a dinky little box and they told me if ups couldnt make it fit (which i think it would fit) ... they would hold the mail for me. Now if they did hold the package and see kahr arms or crossbreed holsters on the package; is that enough evidence to kick me out of the apartments or am i over thinking this?

    Anyone else live in apt with this policy?

    Or should i just have a gun shop order the parts and holster and pay a little more money and be safe?

    Why... that's a birthday present for a gun enthusist friend.
    The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

        It's perfectly legal for YOU to sign away your own rights. Which is what it sounds like he did if he signed the lease and did not modify that part of the lease before signing it.

          I would have found another place to live, screw them and their lease rules. NOt sure they can come into your apartment either to search etc or how in the hell they would even enforce it , but there has to be other palces to live that don't even mention that kind of crapola.

          wow they ought to post on the entrace to the aparment complex. THIS AREA IS TOTALLY FREE OF GUNS, THIEVES HAVE AT IT!!!!!!!!

              so your saying i should have a gun shop order it and pick it up? Since its no gun policy, definately hope my permit comes in the mail soon

                  Crap like this happens in Tennessee, I never would have thought. The patron state of shooting stuff and common sense and this happens.

                        kahr doesnt ship to po boxes....but ill just have a shop order it. Hey um all against gun free zones...but this was the best place to live around this area for the price. Its not like im going to open carry so ill still do as i please and carry and just order gun parts and accessories at a local shop.

                            You could become the test case for that, but why. The PO is a good idea, and the move is better when the lease runs out. Me, I wouldn't flaunt my guns, but they could kiss my hairy white butt if they think I'm going to be defenseless.
                            Attitude: it takes 43 muscles to frown, 17 to smile...and 3 for proper trigger squeeze.

                            The olive branch is considered a symbol of peace, and good will. Last time I checked, it's still a switch.

                              If I lived in Tennessee, I would be checking the state laws concerning the issue. I would suspect that in some states one could be convicted of criminal tresspass (or similar charge) if caught knowingly in possession of a firearm on property where sufficient notice was given that firearms are not allowed.

                              Just a thought
