I'm thinking about ordering a minituck for my K40. From Crossbreed there's a 3-4 week wait. On Kahr's site it doesn't mention a wait, do they have them ready to ship?

Thanks for the info, I have looked at kholster before but I've had good experience with the Crossbreed and for $15 more I'll probably just stick with them. Anyone else ordered a minituck from kahr.com?K40 Stainless (traded to) -> PM9 (sold to fund) -> Ruger GP100 Blue 4"...now Kahrless

The KHolster is NOT in the same class as the SuperTuck in any way, shape, or form. It is a poor ripoff, with a giant backer, and not as well designed clips. They also do not have the same warranty as Crossbreed. Their story is simple. They saw Crossbreed's holsters, they decided to copy them, they found out the hard way that the design is patented, so they tried to work around the patent by changing a bunch of stuff. Thus the gigantic backer, odd way of attaching the clips, limited choice of clip design. But those changes are "improvements" right?

Yes, Crossbreed is a sponsor. They are for a reason. I use their holsters exclusively for my CCW carry. I only use what works, and what works 100% of the time, with complete and utter reliability, and total vendor support. That is what you get for your small amount of extra money.Chief Administrator and CEO

johnh:
Thanks for the rip off info, I thought it was just a guy and his family, at Kholster, the way it's presented at the website.
I didn't know about any big money involved.
It seems many people are selling kitchen table made holsters now days.
My kholster is also in the drawer gathering dust, since I bought a Remora and am happy with it for all the reasons I posted in another thread here.
TilosI apologize if my post contains the same or similar information as someone who has posted before me.

not looking for a debate here just a simple question looking for a simple answer
(thanks for the crossbreed info though. i saw them on the list of vendors but haven't seen any posts by them so wasn't sure if they were a paying sponsor or if their holster was just a topic of discussion here)K40 Stainless (traded to) -> PM9 (sold to fund) -> Ruger GP100 Blue 4"...now Kahrless

I think the best answer to this question would be a call to Kahr and ask if they are in stock. Things can change so rapidly that what was happening last week might be different than this week. Then let us all know the answer which will probably be different next week.
Johnh is not terribly hard to keep happy, he's a happy guy I think, just don't ever tick him off.

I also have a little problem giving my business to somebody that just copies somebody else's effort and investment. I'm probably going to order another CrossBreed holster soon (my 3rd in 6 months). I'm very satisfied with them and they're a solid value for the price.

I have never order a Crossbreed mini-tuck holster from Kahr direct but have purchased 5 different holster from Crossbreed direct, 4 mini-tucks and 1 super-tuck all were delivered ahead of the quoted delivery and all were prefect when received. Great Product and the most comfortable IWB holster I have ever worn.Tony,

I can try and get a wait time report here in the next few days, if you have not found out already. I have had a bunch of family and work obligations hit me at once this week, so have not been communicating much with my regular friends. I can holler at Mark Craighead to see if he can give me a rough idea on their backlog. I know he could use a bigger shop. It is piled high with tools, workmen, boxes of parts, holsters, blue guns, cats, and even the occasional kiddo.
I will tell you one thing, he is a heck of a boss, and runs a quality shop. The guys who work for him would do anything for him, and he has sure earned that respect in spades. He takes very good care of his folks! That is a good thing to see in a day and age when a lot of businesses are just about the bottom line. So if buying from a business that does business the right way means anything to you, Crossbreed is one vendor you can feel good about supporting. I also will not mention some of the good deeds he has done for our boys overseas. He will not toot his own horn, so I will respect that.

thanks for all the replies. i plan on buying crossbreed either way, was just wondering if i could skip the 3-4 week wait as advertised on the crossbreed site by ordering from the kahr site (if they just have a stack ready to ship)K40 Stainless (traded to) -> PM9 (sold to fund) -> Ruger GP100 Blue 4"...now Kahrless

another viable alternative would be the comp-tac mtac. Similar to the crossbreed but with adjustability on gun tension, and also different clips are available for preference. I have one, and really like it, similar prices too. Usually they get you the holster within 2 weeks. I have 3 comp tac holsters and each one was in the mailbox within 2 weeks
