I currently carry my 27 for my edc and I am leaning toward another kahr to replace it for the up and coming hot Florida sun. I have read everything about both and i cant make up my mind. From what I can interpret it's personal preference more than anything. Some swear the pm series are not as reliable as the mk and so on ect.... I am familar with the pm series but not so much with the mk.... Any advice or help is appreciated!

I own an MK9 Elite 03 and a PM9. I love both guns. They shoot equally as well, both look good, and are easily carried. I'd say recoil is equal as well. I would have to give the edge to the PM9 because of it's light weight. I pocket carry it regularly but would not pocket carry the MK, it's just a little too heavy. If you carry it on your hip then weight won't matter.Kahr P380 (part owner)

If my budget allowed, I would have the MK, although the CW9 has been 100% reliable, accurate and flawless in every way. I'm sure the PM9 would have been every bit as good as the CW has been, and the price I was originally quoted between the PM9 and slightly more expensive MK9 was only $50-75 different. I personally prefer steel over tupperware, and don't care much about the weight difference as I carry IWB or OWB 95% of the time.. never carry out of easy reach in my tight jeans pockets. (I still wear studly tight fittin' jeans)
My personal choice would be the MK________________________________________

I have a PM40 (actually a P40 covert) and an MK40. Without a doubt the MK is more pleasant to shoot and really feels great in the hand with both the stock and especially with the wood grips. All that being said, I always grab the polymer gun for CC. YMMVThx,

I have the MK9, I actually prefer the heavier weight. It feels like I have more control over the gun and to me, there is less recoil. I carry IWB, so I don't really notice it.Sooner Born and Sooner Bred

Interesting first post g3003 and short.
So you have a pm40 that "jams often because of a 200 shot reliability break in period".
Is this a "drive by" or do you honestly think that the people on this forum would not try to help you out?On the internet, the number of posts do not correlate to actual knowledge.
