Kahr is taking a whopping

on another web site I frequent. handgunforum dot net has a bunch of "Bad experiances with my Kahr" posts.

I have pointed some of them this way. It bums me to see the problems Kahr owners seem to be experiancing and if that was the only site I read I would certianly shy away from Kahrs.

it's the same on every forum if its not a gen 4 Glock having a problem its a Kimber,thats what its all about ,making it run smoother ,better or more reliable.alot of times its ammo or a limp wrister and first thing they do is get on a forum and bash the gun or the manufacterer then the frenzy begins.....I try to read up and give most quality firearms a chance but sometimes you get one made on a Monday after a crazy weekend or a friday when someone is rushing to get outta dodge

Funny, I have a Kahr (had 2 total), 2 Berettas, 2 Rugers, a colt, a RIA .45, and that's just the handguns and I have never had any real problem with any of them or my rifles that wasn't either ammo or shooter related. Mostly shooter.

I did have the chance to make a mistake and buy a Kel-Tec PF9 but my gun guy steered me away from it to my first Kahr. I'm glad he did. Not only did I get a good gun but ended up here with all the other clowns on this forum where I might actualy fit (or should I say mis-fit) in.

Send any Kahr complainers this way and we'll try to help them see the light.

great topic, as with the springfield/hs produkt XD pistol line, they are bombproof say for 1 thing. the "striker retaining pin" is a pin designed to be a replaceable weak point in the pistol to prevent the striker from maxing out against the backside of the breechface. they supposedly fail after several thousand rounds however some fail within several hundred and some have been shot 10's of thousands of rounds with the original still perfect. this little pin has created much topic and contraversy for the xd/xdm line...... its a few cents for an upgraded replacement and only a few minutes to swap in yet still bashing.
