The handles tend to snap too. Just sayin', I have shot a bunch of 'em. You would be better with a vest.
Attitude: it takes 43 muscles to frown, 17 to smile...and 3 for proper trigger squeeze.

The olive branch is considered a symbol of peace, and good will. Last time I checked, it's still a switch.

I wore a cast iron, well almost, jock when I was a baseball catcher. It would still rattle the boys when a foul ball hit it!

I seem to remember Marty trying something like that in "Back to the Future III".

Wow, a gong to protect the dong so to speak!

I was a catcher in an earlier life, my youngest is filling that slot currently for his High School team and hopefully will again this coming season. Kid loves baseball.

A hit on the "gong" will definitely make you quit thinkin' about sex for a few minutes or hours, as the case may be.

Frying pans only make good bullet stoppers in movies..... was it "The Quick and the Dead" or was it "Cat Ballou" ....

For REAL READNECK body armor do this: Get some good size phone books about three inches thick, and duck-tape them all across yer body, lettin some of them books hang an' cover the hinter regions and nether regions as well. That'll getcha done. Plus, if you gotta go poo someplace, you always got a good wipe along with ya. Double the duty, all outta lef'tover yeller pages!

This little beauty was given to me by a very nice gentleman on this forum. Thank you again, kind sir! There seems to be a lot of early Christmas presents going around this forum in the last few weeks.

There's no frying pan in there!

Anyone here ever shot one of those bad boys? I think I might try a compensated one, but not sure I'd want to shoot one without it. Looks painful.

That was definitely a cast iron skillet. My range has a 500 for rent. I have not shot it and don't plan to.

I think that .50 may even make a charging Grizzly sit up and take notice.

Well, maybe NOT! Just finished an article about a guy hunting Browns in Alaska with a .50 hangun. They saw a very large brown (1K lbs) sitting on a kill spot and...

"The bear started to get up when Glen backtracked and got along side of me. I trained my revolver [S&W 500 w/ 470gn] at the bear and watched Glen as he lay on the ground in a firing position. I nodded my head to him and a second later, the blast of his .500 Smith & Wesson echoed against the distant hillsides. The bear never flinched when the bullet hit him and it continued to get up. Immediately I fired my .500, the bullet striking the great bear center mass and again, it never flinched. We were about 20 yards from it and in a spot where we could be readily seen by the beast. In a blur, we continued firing when our backup with his 45/70 fired twice into the bear on the 7th or 8th shots. When the first 45/70 bullet hit it the bear went down and it got back up, the second hit didn’t seem to faze it. Glen and I advanced and kept firing at the bear. We stopped 15 yards from the wounded brownie and then I heard one of the most terrible sounds I have ever heard in my life come from Glen’s gun. Click. He had run out of ammunition. Immediately I leveled off at the animal and squeezed the trigger, the Smith & Wesson exhaled it’s firebreath . The bear went down and stayed."

Why someone would want to kill one of those spectacular creatures is beyond me, but the ballistic truth is hard to refute. All those rounds of the same gun and loads Hickok45 was shooting in the video and "it never flinched!" Oh my!
