It's likely been said in the forum in the past, but I ordered and just received the KAHR Buck Knife--a very quality piece and something I'll carry daily. One of the better $35 bills I've spent and it arrived within a week. Just sayin'.

well if it is a buck, it is a good knife. probably sold a hundred+ buck 110 folding hunters in my days.. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

I know that Buck is a decent knife maker, I'm just curious about the ceramic blades. I've got a few Gerbers and Kershaws and Benchmade, but nothing ceramic.Originally posted by jocko View Postwell if it is a buck, it is a good knife. probably sold a hundred+ buck 110 folding hunters in my days.

sure sounds to me like a big add pitch "ceramic". Steel just trumps some things in certain settings. No doubt these knife makers are like gun makers, TEY GOTTA KEEP CHANGING THINGS TO GET US TO COME BACK AND BUY THE LATEST THING OUT... The Kahr ceramic knives are a fair bit of change ... $90 or $150. I use ceramic knives in the kitchen. They're very sharp but you have to be careful about chopping as they are also brittle and can crack, chip or break.Originally posted by beatlesfan View PostIs that the ceramic blade knife? If so, how durable are those ceramic blades?

I was worried about them breaking to. Thanks for the info.Originally posted by ripley16 View PostThe Kahr ceramic knives are a fair bit of change ... $90 or $150. I use ceramic knives in the kitchen. For me...it was about having a daily carry with a clip. The Kahr Buck knife is just that, a great utility knife that's light, sharp, durable with a 3 1/2 inch steel blade. The ceramic-thing is just a bit of a gimmick from my point of view. I like the steel with the composite handle, particularly for the price!

For the price, that SS model is actually a good deal as far as knives go. Plus it says Kahr which is awesome lol.Originally posted by TomMc View PostFor me...it was about having a daily carry with a clip. My edc knife is a Kershaw Ken Onion leek right now. I'm saving for a Wilson Combat Rapid Response Folder. That knife is as sexy as the T9 in my opinion. $400 is very steep for a knife, but you need to spoil yourself sometimes right?

I don't carry an EDC knife. All I have is a little 2 1/4" Victorinox Swiss Army Knife on my key chain. I am very crippled, so close hand to hand combat is not feasible for me. If I get one, I like that stag scaled Kit Carson that I posted a picture of. Although, the SS Kahr Buck Knife is a great value.Originally posted by knkali View PostJfootin, what do you carry as an EDC now?Very interesting...

No, but if you put it in a drawer with the T9 you get a Kahr with a tac rail lol.Originally posted by jocko View Postsexy--hum. can u buy a pair (male and female)??will they reporduce if you put them in a dark drawer???Now you got me interested.
