Mags break. I have owned Berretta, Taurus, GLOCK, XD, Ruger, Browning, and Kahr semi autos and for each and everyone I have had at least 4 mags. I have had a G30 mag fail, one Taurus TP-58 mag ($40!!) fail and a Browning Buckmark mag fail me.

I after a short attempt to fix them, I ended up throwing each of the bad mags out and pressing on.

Mags fail. It happens. Buy extras and press on.

For what it's worth, hang in there. Kahrs are NOT perfect, but then what gun made by human hands IS perfect? I'm a newbie to Kahrs and was given a PM9 as a gift from a good friend (better friend, now!) All the bad press I've read has been offset by the good press and the reality of holding that PM9 in my hand, and trusting it to help defend my family. I spent a couple of hours studying my 3 magazines (measuring, disassembling, polishing) and found ALL THREE feed flawlessly and fall freely when I hit the button. I know it's a matter of time before something goes wrong, but if I'm wise I'll be the first to catch it. Until then, I'm going to enjoy my Kahr and thank the Lord for my trusty Ruger SP101 revolver at the same time.
I don't think you will have a problem w/your PM9, it seems to be the CM9 pistol that have more problems than the PM9.

Mags for the two...that's another story.

All of this is just fine and dandy if the failure happens on the range.
Should a failure occur during a real life situation, that could ruin your day.

FWIW, I have 1911 mags that are most likely older than many posters here. They have seen thousands upon thousands of rounds being used in more than one 1911 pistol. They have been rebuilt a few times but NEVER have they cracked.

Kahr Arms has a mag quality problem and they need to address that problem.

I keep saying, if you have a problem, email Kahr CS... with pictures, and politeness! It's hard copy and not erroneously written down or lost along the way.

I'm not saying not to call... but they are busy and then are jotting down stuff or just saying something off the top of their heads... maybe incorrectly.

Please allow me to suggest that you call Kahr when your replacement magazine arrives. Thank them for the replacement and ask if they could possibly send you a spare follower at no cost.

If you explain how important the pistol is to you and your family's well being they should agree. Remind them too that there is a depression going on and that not everyone can justify the cost of a spare magazine. They will probably understand and mail you a spare follower quickly.

The pistol CAN cause magazine failure, but that's rare. Unfortunately, my PM45 turned into a magazine destroyer on one range trip... damaging 5 out of 6 mags inside 171 rounds. I had to quit early because of the failures. Kahr DUPLICATED that and replaced all 6 of my mags and had to give me a new frame. They really tested every other option, but the new frame was the only thing that stopped the mag destruction.

i have always felt this magazine failure could be gun reltated. as to why the frame is the cause, I would realy like to know why but your frame being replaced IMO is something like Mosquite repellant. If you spray it on and you don't get bite, #1,, did it work. #2 or was their no mosquites around even. oNE REALLY CAN'T SAY, Either way YOU DO NOT CARE
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

I emailed them this past Friday and was told that Kahr had "just received" it. I sent it FedEx 3day. Whatever. So, Yesterday I am told that they still havent "looked" at it and were sorry for my inconvenience. Sorry for my inconvenience is right!! I have NO mag for my pistol an thus no pistol! It's my only weapon as well. I told ten this. I am comparing this type of cust service to S&W. Had this been S&W rather than Kahr, I'd have received my mag last week. That my friends is the difference twix an old big historic maker rather than a smaller less equipped manufacturer. Also, they are having a MASSIVE return problem with the p380. It shows menthat A: they need to hire a he'll of allot more people AND fire their engineers and hire new ones as well as QC employees. This is bad looking and really will kill repeat buyer sales. Just MHO.
I'm sorry about your problem with Kahr mags. From this and other posts, I think it's obvious that Kahr has a problem with their supplier. I suppose I've been fortunate, but I've never had a mag problem, or any other problem for that matter, with my five Kahrs. I'm sure it will be made right, but it should have already been done. Keep the pressure on them.

I will relate something that happen to me with a $1000 Kimber five or six weeks ago. For some reason [cost??] Kimber only supplies one mag with their pistols. I bought a spare standard Kimber mag when I bought the gun. Neither of the Kimber mags would go completely into battery on the first round of a full mag. I happened to have two Wilson mags that I had ordered for my STI on hand and they worked fine. Kimber offered to have me sent the pistol back, but would do nothing about the mags. I was a bit miffed that I had to spend $70 extra on such an expensive gun.

Look it I have put my foot in my mouth so many times I have footprints on my tongue. Thanks for letting us know that Khar made it right.

But I y'all want to be blind and follow obediently to a company that obvious has serious issues thene be my guest. I gave them the benefit of the doubt when the gunbi spent over $400 on broke before using it.

G-d willing nothing will happen to me or my family until I get the mag. What would u say then if something happened to me or my family and I couldnt repel it v/c I had no gun? An if any of you "rich" boys think I'm being cheap somehow by not immediately running out and buying another mag, your crazy. I dont gave the money. Personal finances are what they are. Not all of us can be blessed. For that I'm sorry. I didn't mean to come across as a **** or whatever- I am very irritated and just frustrated with the overall speed of things I just want it to work.
I have a PM9 with three mags. I can loan you one and send it overnight at my expense, just PM me your address. Return it when you no longer need it.

EDIT: I see I was too late and you're all set. As soon as finances allow, buy a spare. Good luck.
