Anyone have one of these? If so, I'd like to hear the good and the bad about them. I'm thinking that this might be a good thing to keep in my truck. It folds up to about 16 inches and can use Glock 17 or 18 magazines. 33 rounds of 9mm would be sweet!

It also can use the 32 round mags. Inexpensive, and the folding feature is nice. I want to get one. If you buy one and don't like it, will you sell it to me half price?
    Very interesting...

      What?

I'm wondering if the Sub 2000 would fit inside of a deep dish pizza box? Who would break into your truck to steal a pizza?

I had a Sub2K with Beretta grip that I bought off the used shelf for 2-3 years. It was a great shooter and functioned well with proper ammunition. No Aluminum cased ammo due to the blowback design and the timing of the action, aluminum cases could potentially have a catastrophic failure (just fyi).

And, as for packing, it is great. I ran across a flat, zippered canvas bag that looked 20-30 years old, with sheepskin liner and leather edging outside. Dimensions were perfect for the S2K and 18" x 12".

If the magazine fits the grip/mag catch, it should work. I had a few of cheap 30 round Beretta style mags (pretty sure they were the older cheap promags) that weren't worth the $15 @ that I paid for them, and I probably still have a couple somewhere.

I ended up trading the S2K for a NIB P32 for mrs surv.... she still has it. A year or so later I bought a Beretta Storm CX4 and had it for 2-3 years. After I realized I had little need for a pistol round "long gun" that could be better replaced by a 12 ga shorty, the CX4 was traded off. I do wish I'd kept the old S2K though since it did pack so well and fit almost anywhere in my pickup.

They must be good guns because no one seems to have them in stock.

I have 2 of them, one in 9 and one in 40. They are available in several different mag configs but mine are Glock. Don't own any Glocks though!
I have waited for years for them to come out with a .45 version...still waiting.
BTW when folded they fit in a computer laptop bag, of course that left in a car is a banner for "steal me", the pizza box might be ok, something labeled "dirty diapers" might be a good deterrent

I have one of these in 9mm - Glock Mag version. It's accurate, reliable and easily concealable in a back pack or brief case. It also has some pretty cheesy sights on it but they seem to work. Even in the 9mm caliber it has a bit of recoil.

THis carbine has been more of a novelty to me. I don't shoot it much even though it's a lot of fun.

I saw this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQ87nsuyNpY on youtube and the guy has his Sub 2000 tricked out with better sights and a silencer. That's the video that started me thinking about the Sub 2000.

Let's see. 31 x 15(?) + 14 x 6(?) = 549 rounds of loaded ammo in that case! (And I'm probably under counting.) Plus, a suppressor with adapters to fit both guns. I'll just bet A.T.F. and Homeland Security are actively watching this guy!

I read it carries real nice folded in a laptop case. Of course laptops are a prime theft target. Just keep it with you. Worst case, these are $290 of fun, fun , fun! I want one but need to handle it in the flesh first. Can't locate one here in SE Michigan.

PS. Lots of cold pizza lovers out there

Probably...he just got banned from the Georgia forum that I read. He's a nut!

OK, how about keeping it in a red box that says "medical waste"?

What do you estimate his entire rig and case weighs?

I'll let you figure that out.

You know, the pizza box will work if it is sitting upright behind your seat. Anybody would know it doesn't have edible pizza in it unless it is sitting flat on the passenger seat wrapped in a bag with a receipt fresh from the pizza place.
