  • Bought a BP9cc

Stopped in the local shop on the way to work this morning and something caught my eye. I didn't even know they were being imported yet. I haven't had a chance to break it down and clean it yet but figured I'd post some pictures since there aren't many out there yet.

It's roughly the same size as a Kahr CW9. I don't own one but, size wise, it compared very favorably to the one at the shop this morning. It appears to be well built and is very solid. It has a lot of "points" features that I could live without including mag disconnect and key lock. I'll investigate these and see what I can do after I shoot a few hundred rounds through it. I like the feel and weight and can't wait to put some down range this week.

Frank (can I call you HP? ), that is very interesting. How much was it?

I'll be looking for a full range report.
    Very interesting...

Hmm. A couple of oz heavier, less than 1/2" longer and taller, but 8+1 capacity, which is impressive. Ambiextrous mag release, which I like. 3 dot sights. A nice looking gun. Short reset DAO trigger. Let us know how the trigger feels, the weight of it, the reset, how it is on double taps and rapid fire.

Does it come with 2 mags? I can't find it for sale in Google search at all. How did your LGS get their hands on one?

I had a Bersa Thund .380 and I'd still have it if I didn't buy the PM9. From my experience with the Bersa is there a very nice gun with good fit and finish for the money. I think the Bersa's are one of the best kept secrets in the gun world. They seem to have a quite loyal following.

            Congats and nice pics

I've only handled Bersas in the GS, but was immediately impressed with the quality build, solidness and smooth trigger action.

WOW where ya gonna find a gun like that for that kind of money. Can't wait to hear how that little beauty shoots. Just a guess but it appears to be the size of a Walther PPS-9

It is just about exactly the same size as the PPS. I'll bet it will fit in the same holsters.

My friend told me his CC class instructor warned the class to stay away from Bersa pistols as the metal they used wasn't up to par. I bet he didn't make any friends at the gun shop/indoor range he was working at as they have Bersa's for sale.
I have no experience with them myself, and I've never heard anything like that before about them. I guess the instructor had a bad experience with one and it biased him against their pistols. I have noticed they are usually at the lower end of the price range per caliber. Makes a person wonder why. Not picking a fight, simply relaying a message. Like I say, I have no experience with them, nor have I heard of any Kabooms with one, other than that instructor.

Frank, is it 7+1 or 8+1? Bud's and everyone else are saying 7+1, but Bersa says 8+1.

I just loaded up 8 rounds in each magazine. There are 7 witness holes + the one sticking out of the mag.

Congrats Frank. I was reading about these on BT yesterday. Does yours also have the 3lb. trigger that Pond Scum reported?

I'm seriously torn here as a PPS was in my future, but hard to turn down a $200 savings on a similar size pistol from another reliable manufacturer.
