I'm finally convinced - Glocks are the safest guns on the market.

You're kidding, right? Of course he was serious. Very much convinced he's doing an all knowing, manly public service by posting. At least he's carrying a CCW badge that he'd instantaneously flash on the street to immediately identify himself as a confused moron as opposed to a real, violent threat to the responding LEs.NRA Benefactor

I couldn't watch all the video. He reminded me of some of the guys that took the CC class that I was in. Fortunately, at the beginning of the video, he had dry fired the Glock, so it was technically safe. That said, with the habit he has obviously developed, I would want to be nowhere near him with a gun.Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is moderately important.

That's really scary... and right too.Originally posted by ltxi View PostSadly, "He" is everywhere.
Sadly he might be the guy to run around with because if something goes really wrong he will be the target and I could RUN LIKE MAD!!!!!! and make a get away.
Just stay out of his yard since he has that "tactical AR-15" with his finger on the trigger too.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

I'd like to add my voice to zamboni in saying that not all Floridians are this stupid, don't get me wrong I've done some stupid things (first wife comes to mind) but none of them compares to this.Originally posted by zamboni View PostOMG, what a tool. For the record, we are not all that stupid in florida. We do not get badges from the state...that is just him trying to be cool. Also, yes, you have to stay really concealed in fla. I would never go out showing that much gun through my shirt.
So just to be clear no badges if you are older than 5, no finger in the trigger, no mall ninja attitude but if you decide that you want to still do all of the above please don't make a video about it.
Why is it that every time there is a shooting spree they want to take the guns away from the people that didn't do it? :59:

reminds me
when I had my gun business inside our tire and sporting goods store, we had a hole in the mens restroom door where a customer while on the ****-er pulled the trigger on HIS UNLOADED GLOCK.Originally posted by crazymailman View PostI couldn't watch all the video. . My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

Thankfully, this person isn't represenative of most Floridians. In fact, from his accent it is obvious that he isn't a native. Most LEOs would cringe at the sight of his "badge" because it would look as if he is impersonating an officer. This guy is a wannabe cop with a "cowboy" mentality who would likely shoot himself or be shot in an all out stressful situation.
To obtain a CWP in FL, you need to sit through a short class on gun law with a little about concealed carry methods and safety. Your final test is to prove that you can safely fire a weapon. My class had to fire a .22 rifle into a berm. Pay your money, fill out a questionaire, pose for a photo, and wait for your permit to arrive in the mail. Having been through this, it isn't too difficult to understand how this man could get a CWP.
Not to hijack this thread, but it might be interesting to hear what other states require for a CWP.

Fill out application, pay I thnk it's 60 bucks, 35 I think for renewal, get back ground check and get it in the mail in a week or so depending on where you get it. Good for 5 years. No test, no questions, no shooting, and most importantly not attached to a particular gun. It no longer applies for knives, kubotons, hand grenades, or flash bangs but works for any gun.Originally posted by jdavis View PostThankfully, this person isn't represenative of most Floridians. Even more importantly no class with an instructor like our hero selling badges on the side.http://bawanna45.wix.com/bawannas-grip-emporium#!

Michigan became a "Shall Issue" State around ten years ago. In some Counties, the process is as fast as ten days, in populous Counties, plan on 60-90 days. The cost is $105, which usually includes photographs. My County requires a trip to one of the two monthly Gun Board Meetings. A ten minute formality which repeats some of the questions asked on the application.Originally posted by jdavis View PostThankfully, this person isn't represenative of most Floridians. The State requires a training certificate (pistol safety course, as its called in the statute). The CPL classes generally run $100 to $150 for about 5 hours of classroom and three hours on the range. You can shoot any caliber handgun and need to hit an 8.5 x 11 inch paper at 15 feet. The State lets NRA determine the finer points of the class. Permits renew every five years, same $105. Your carry weapon is not attached to your permit, therefore carry as many as you want and swap 'em out as you please.
At a LEO traffic stop, we must inform.

CCW badge = Shoot Me First bulls-eye.
Maryland requires a "Good and Substantial" (G&S) reason for a permit. Self defense is not G&S according to the state. For the most part you must have a work reason (carry large sums of money for deposit, etc.) and then you only get a restricted license to carry while performing that duty, or be politically connected (judge, legislator, etc. or a very large campaign contributor to the ruling party in this state.)Originally posted by jdavis View PostNot to hijack this thread, but it might be interesting to hear what other states require for a CWP.Ray
