  • New CM9 Owner

    Hello,

I have been reading your forum for a while. Decided to purchase a CM9 in May 2012. What a perfect pistol! I am very pleased with the every thing about it. Of course from reading the forum, I knew some had sited the tightness of this new pistol. Indeed it was, but I was prepared. I lubed and put on a thick glove. I racked it a great many times until it just felt right. I also very lightly filed the serations on the slight just to prevent sharpness. I too did not care for the cheese grader factory gripes so I purchase the rubber TALON grips for it. TALON greatly improved the gripping as it should. The CM9 is perfect to carry and shoot. It is reminds my of the modern day 38 special snub nose in its day.

Congrats on your CM9. I just got mine Friday & got it to the range yesterday for 250 flawless rounds. I agree on the grips, although I don't foresee doing 250 rounds every range trip. Welcome to the club & forum, great place to hang your hat! Enjoy.

I took a sanding pad to my wifes CW9. That was good enough, then I decided to get a Handall Jr. It makes the grip just that little bit thicker which fits me better and she don't complain.

Welcome to the forum, Mike. I put 1.75" bike tube grip covers on all of my polymer Kahrs... even the P380's. They feel great and don't look bad... not even noticeable. It's inexpensive, too.

I knew that the PM45 needed something before I shot it. So I put some on it. Start with the largest pistol and mistakes can go on the smaller ones. My first try wound up on the PM9 and then after the PM45 , I put them on my P380... and later on my P40. I just like the feel and look... and, being virtually free is nice, too.

My huge XD45 doesn't seem to need any grip covers. It's the only polymer without the tube grip covers.
