  • New Kahr/gun owner

Hello all. I am new to the gun owner world. My husband is a cop/gun owner and has finally gotten me to a place where I am comfortable owning a gun and working towards my conceal/carry license. We looked at quite a few guns and I ended up with a Kahr CM9. I haven't taken it out to the range yet, but I have taken it apart a few times and I have cleaned it. We are going this Sunday out to the range so I can get a handle on it. Looking forward to learning more about this gun and meeting new friends

Welcome to our little oasis from a fellow Pacific Northwesterner. We're far outnumbered by the members on the east coast, mid west an have a ton of members in Florida and Texas.

What part of the wet and mossy NW you reside in?

If it's one of them you can tell but then you gotta kill me things, I really don't need to know, ya know.

I hang out everyday in the PD in Monroe.

Little south of us. We got a few members in that neck of the woods too. I have some friends near Lake Oswego? Never been to their place but we meet up couple times a year fishing in Eastern Washington.

Ahhh. You are farther north than I usually get. I have family in Chehalis, where I grew up.

You are going to love that CM9! Remember to grip it really well and hide the bullseye behind the front sight and you'll have a lot of fun with it.
            Welcome to the club!

Well now your getting closer to the neighborhood. I occasionally get as far south as Puyallup but not too often and rarely venture much further south.

If I go anywhere it's usually East.

I have family east as well, over in Pasco. Love it over there. Not quite as wet.

Now there's some genuine Pacific Northwest talk right there. Not quite as wet.

We had some good sun yesterday and today, the moss between my fingers and toes is already starting to slip into remission but that of course could change in the next 15 minutes.

Where the heck is Jfootin with your club badge, he's really slacking today.

Ooooh... I get a club badge. Nifty.

I have family in Nashville that always ask how much rain we've gotten today. The standard answer is usually "There's still moss between my toes."

Oh yeah, club badge for sure. I don't know where the heck every one is today.
Wyn should be along with his page, Jfooting with the club badge and holster recommendations, it goes on and on.
After 30 post you get a cyber bride proposal from yours truly and after 100 you get a Jocko decoder ring. Although those are on backorder due to an extremely high demand.

I'm told the government is trying to acquire some as they think it's a key to foreign codes. I got nothing to back that up with, I'm sure it's all perfectly innocent and a misunderstanding.

We got people, kahr talk people (not bawanna people, well actually I guess kahrtalk people are bawanna people, we're like family here) in Nashville too. A few actually. Hopefully some of them will come along and chat with ya so you won't be stuck chatting with me. Although being the handsomest and with the glibbest silver tongue (a curse really) not much competition here.

Haha. Well at least there are certainly things for me to look forward to. I can't say that I have ever even heard of a cyber bride proposal. Interesting.

Man, my kids are keeping me running today. I still haven't managed to finish the cup of coffee I started this morning.

I suppose, being a reverend, you could call on me if you ever get to the cyber-bride part ... though she is married, and I'm not partial to breaking up or adding to an already existing arrangement.

Anyway, welcome to Kahrland. BTW, does your husband have a Kahr as well, or is something new for the both of you?

Thank you, RevRay. This is new to both of us, although he wants one someday. He plans on qualifying with mine for work so that he can use it and see how he likes it. I personally an looking forward to him using my holster when he goes to qualify. I may have bought a hot pink one simply because I knew he would have to use it.

Congrats on your new CM9 and welcome aboard. Kahrs are great accurate little pistols, practice as often as your pocketbook will allow.
