Who's afraid of the big bad Jocko? My KSG has an extension on the front that is a muzzle break and it also allows the use of Remington Choke Tubes. As much as I like handguns a 12 gauge is better for home defense.

For a wild crazy man, you seem to make some nice looking grips. My Kimber has VZ tactical Carry with thumb scoop and it is made for the Ed Brown Bobtail I mounted on the gun. My Sig P220 Carry SAO has some really nice looking wood factory grips. The SA came with nice factory wood grips and the Sig Ultra Two Tone has rubber grips on it. I love the look of natural wood but appreciate the qualities that G-10 has to offer.

Wild crazy man? You talking to me? That would be Jocko and sometimes Muggsy on his better days when he takes his meds.

I'm a devout wood guy but I too admit that there are some distinct plus's for G10 and micarta and some of the other mother nature fooler materials.

I do love me wood and stag but I was born a 100 years too late. Course I'm often reminded that if I was born when I was suppose to be I'd already be dead, not a happy thought on Christmas Morning.

I might have to get with you on some exotic burl grips for the Sig 1911 Ultra Two Tone. I noticed that you do some beautiful inlay work. That must really be tedious.

No problem. Operators are standing by. If you want burl we should look into some stabilized stuff. Looks real nice and near as bomb proof as G10 etc. Tougher to do inlays since it's so hard but we'll manage.

I'll have to show you a picture but my personal logo is a 3 beamed cross wherein the beams are parallel and the center beam on the horizontal axis and the vertical axis is longer than the other two. The other two are of equal length. This cross is gold. Overlaid on top is a white gold Ichtus with the nose pointing up. I designed this and had a friend who is a Christian jeweler make a pendant for me which hangs on a gold chain. I call it "The Fishers of Men Cross". I have a custom made holster for the Sig 220 Carry SAO which has this design carved on it. I also have a custom made grip on my Strother Archery Compound Bow that has the design engraved in it and colored. It doesn't necessarily have to be colored.

In answer to the OP, "absolutely nothing" is wrong with this forum!

This is actually one of the best gun forums I've found and I've trawled (not to be confused with "trolled") quite a few!

I assumed, when I ran into some of the same questions, that they would become available after I had shown myself to be a good citizen of the forum and, BINGO!, they did!

                      Dave:

I' love to see a picture of that cross pendant.

BTW, welcome to the forum and good job of making it past your first hurdle.

I read every word of this thread from start to finish, including several pages of pointless posts. Well, pointless, except to reach the desired round count. I'm not sure the mods encourage this kind of behavior, but it worked and Dave Nowlin got away with it.

I did notice, that even as Dave was posting fluff, he stopped to edit his posts to correct spelling errors. That's a sign of a perfectionist. I like this guy already.

                        Welcome aboard, Dave Nowlin.

Maybe we could get him to tutor Jocko, I'm told he's a perfectionist too, just can't type to save his backside.
