  • Just bought a CM45

I just purchased a CM 45 and I was wondering what the differences are between the CM 45 and CW 45.
I am new to the Kahr family and I have yet to perform its first cleaning. I was skeptical but a $385 price tag out the door for this Little 45 seemed like a good deal. I was not able to find many reviews on the CM45 only the CW45 model. I have seen a few horror stories about failure to feeds and failure to ejects. Even after the 200 round break-in. I would like to hear any feedback on that as well as I have chosen this pistol as a EDC piece. Also would like recommendations on CC holsters.

I was wondering the same thing between CM40 and CW40. All I can see is capacity, the CW40 holds one more round, but also makes it bigger and heavier. I like my CM40, I pocket carry. I've only been to the range a couple time, but it's been flawless. It shoots a little low, but I've learned how to compensate.

I have the cm45 and the cw45. The cw45 holds one more round. Both are very good shooters and get really smooth after a few hundred rounds. My cw45 must have close to 1000 rounds through it and its smooth as butter. The Cm45 has maybe 400+ rounds through it and has smoothed out nicely also.

      You will like the cm45.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

CM is shorter both ways by about 1/4 inch or so. The CM is newer to the lineup so it may have some teething issues. All Kahrs require a break in period but all my Kahrs have been outstanding shooters. I've used a Galco King TUC made for a S&WM&P and find it fits fantastic with good retention, presentation, and conceal ability. Also use a Mitch Rosen own leather holster for a Glock 26 which works as well. I have to choose now which to carry, my PM9 or my CM45. Not a bad outcome either way
