  • New member with a brand new T9

Just got my first firearm, and it is a T9. Went to the range and fired 59 rounds. It was very smooth. I was worried that I would be disappointed, since based on so many other posts, it is not considered "small" or "light". I am very pleased with the first experience.

Welcome aboard. Nice start on your Kahr collection, the T9 is a fine pistol. Enjoy and be safe.
Judging by today's left wing, looks like Senator Joe McCarthy was right after all.

FIRST firearm and it's my coveted T9? Something is just not right or fair here.

Welcome Brian, glad you found us. Don't sweat those post you mention, you got a real sweetheart. What a great start.

I'm tearing up a little bit here, so happy for you, and sad for me too.

Sorry to cause you pain :<) I didn't mean to come across like I was bragging. I spent a lot of time sweating over what to get. I am surprised by the many snarky comments about Kahr in general. There are a lot of choices because there are a lot of different tastes and needs. Just seemed like a good way to go for a beginner who wants to focus on accuracy and the fun of the experience at a range.

You weren't bragging at all, didn't even cross my mind. I'm just the jealous type.

Only seen and held one T9 my whole life, just don't show up round these parts much.

Saw it on a table at a gun show and fortunately for me the table holder was a nice fella. Let me hold it for quite a long time.

Didn't have the marbles to bring it home, badly as I wanted too.

Have fun with it. Great gun.

Welcome. Too many people are firearm snobs. They bash kahr because it's not a Glock (which is like an ugly bench seat truck with no A/C, a weird gas peddle, and only comes in black) or a Colt or Springfield. Kahr led the way in small reliable pocket 9mm's and their metal guns are real nice. You got a nice one.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

I have had them all! Kahr pistols seem to be the best for me. Spent a lot of money trying to find the best gun for me. You did good on the choice of a Kahr. Don't listen to the nay sayers. Enjoy your new pistol.

Thanks for that. Again... from the first impression and the first practice... I don't see what is not to like. And I don't mind if anyone else likes something else... it's all good. I have no need to knock anyone else's choice.
