  • Been sellig off some of my guns and stuff

Well so far I've sold a customized S&W mod.60, a S&W ported mod 60 3" from the performance shop, an original High Standard Victor, a military .22 conversion unit for an AR15, a .177 pellet conversion slide for a 1911 frame. Just shipped off a Beeman .20 R10 air rifle. Now I'm thinking about this one

It's a Kimber of Oregon mod 82 .22 rimfire. I can't remember when was the last time I shot it, mid 80s, early 90s. I'm really wrestling with this decision.

I have a Savage/Anshutz Model 54 .22 Sporter with Leupold scope and it is the last long gun that I would ever consider selling. It's like an old friend.

I also had an Anshutz, I think it was a mod. 64 in .22mag, with the shapnel (sp) forend tip. It was on and off on accuracy, so I floated the barrel and then started to add shims until I was happy. But .22 mag is too expensive to plink with. Does your's have the double extractor hooks?
I don't consider this an old friend since it's been sitting in the back of the gun safe for so many years.
I don't know how much further back I want to go into the safe. I'm afraid I'll end up in Narnia

I need to go back in there. There's my very first gun my father bought for me when I was 8 yrs. old. I think it's a Rem mod. 341 bolt rifle. It's a tube feed that shoots .22 shorts, longs, and l.r. It was made around 1936.

That would be a tough one to part with in my estimation.

I have many times pulled out guns and made keep and sell piles. Put everything back and then double checking the sell pile, those all went back in too. Didn't sell any. Maybe I'm a hoarder?

Definitely sell that one. Doesn't look like much to keep. However, please PM me with the price.

            Thanks,

Rightfully so, that's a lot! Good for you. Should be plenty to steal this rifle out from under me. It's ok I harbor no ill feelings.

I would have a hard time parting with that. That's a nice looking rifle with some fine lumber.

I should at least be able to swap for a 10/22

Seriously I have a 10" steel plate set up at about 100 yds, and every hour or so I go out on my deck and shoot at it. I still haven't gotten used to working the bolt. I try to push the trigger again after firing. This is really old technology.

I really don't know what to do. I'm in a quandry
                          .

                            alphonse, you got a 10/22? I DO

I'd say that would be worth a 10/22 and a half, maybe even two. I better go now before I don't have a 10/22 and less cash to boot.

Sure, I have a 10-22, if a swap is desired. I can understand wanting to get rid of a rifle like this one, what with the obsolete wood stock and nothing tactical about it. The market prefers composite (plastic) these days. I can accommodate an upgrade to something "tactical" if you prefer that to cash.

I must be a hoarder too. Never sold a gun yet. I was starting to have a hard time getting rid of that jeep too after everybody showed me their toys. But, it sure took up a lot more room than a gun!
