      Thanks

It's just a Colt 1911 in .45 with a Commander length slide and an alloy, Officer size frame.

Dan Wesson makes a nice one, too.

Oh, and the grips are the new "Master Series" from Crimson Trace.

Cool. IMO the crimson trace grips are typically fugly. Those look great though. My dept does now allow single action only carry, so i'm SOL with regards to 1911's

There are a few double action 1911s, the Colt New Agent, model O7810DA, and these from Para. There are probably more.

How's this for breathing life into a thread! Just surfing around and saw the title. I just picked up a new-to-me CCO the other day. Older Canadian model, pretty much mint condition. Still holster hunting though...

Very nice 1911s. I wonder why more manufacturers don't make the CCO sized 1911's. One would think they would be very popular. I would really be up for a Springfield in that size.

Jeepster (or anyone else?) What is the difference between a CCO and PDA? I just got a CCO, but i'm by no means a 1911 guy, and dont really know the difference. Is this a standard among 1911 styles or sizes? Or is that just a Para Ordnance term to distinguish models (and if so, whats the difference?) I havent found much information on the web about my CCO. I'm 1911 (and 1911 lookalike) ignorant.

Don't know anything about the PDA. CCO size just means commander sized slide on an officer's size frame.

It's just Para's model number. I have one they call a Companion but it's simply an officer sized 1911. My chief has a CCO as mentioned previously with a slightly longer barrel, short grip.

I think the PDA is in the same category, its Personal Defense, what the heck does the A stand for, I forget.
