Couldn't help drooling over all those bad a$$ little snubbies!

I want one of those lil hammerless S & W polished with wood grips SO bad.
What model is a 640?? and do they make em polished or is that aftermarket?

espresso, The 640 if you want to have magnum capability, or the 642 for 38+P. I think they make a version of the 642 without that darned locking mechanism.

I think I'd love the 640 for the added weight over the 642 even though I'd still prob only shoot .38's through it. I shot a 640 once and the recoil really wasn't all that bad but I bet that 640 is a hoot to shoot.
              Sweet looking gun !

I was lucky enough to find a pristine Dan Wesson Pistol Pack in .357, with 8", 6", 4" and 2" barrels. For me, that was the ultimate find. I would have liked the 6 barrel set with the 12" and 10" barrels, just to have it, but I would never probably use the long barrels. That package is a work of art to me. I can't think of any semi-auto I'd trade it for, not a Bill-Wilson or Les Baer Custom costing 3 times as much as I paid for that beauty. Unfortunately, it will probably remain unfired, as the previous owner did, and I think the original owner put very few rounds through it. I just like to get it out from time to time and oil and clean it and admire the quality and precision of it and of course that deep dark blue/black finish on it. From what I see on the auction sites, it's already increased in value in the short time I've owned it, I hope that trend continues. Someday I will probably have to sell it to the right person. Not just anyone is going to get this set, has to be someone that really appreciates the Dan Wesson line, and knows what they are getting. I have a friend from the Dan Wesson formum that lives close, and will probably get first crack at it. I'd love to leave it to my son, but I don't think he understands how rare and precious it is, plus he'll have plent of other nice pistols to inherit. I'm afraid his fiance will not want him bringing a trunk load of guns home after I'm gone, so will consult with them, try and get my new daughter in law to go shooting with us sometime and see how much fun it is and maybe she will ease up some. I'm afraid my son is smitten, and I'm going to have to talk to him and tell him to stand up for himself. That sleeping on the couch for a night or two isn't that bad, LOL.

Kind of off topic but I thought this might be a good place to express how much I appreciate Dan Wesson's.

I have a small shrine, well 400 square feet dedicated to the quality and beauty of their fine revolvers, with just one empty glass case for a future? specimen.

My Dan Wesson Cbob is my pride and joy and right up there with the quality of the Dan Wesson revolvers, especially the pistol packs.

I enjoy a night on the couch from time to time too.

No idea why I felt the need to express this, just thought I'd get it off my chest.

If I ever had the time, money and itch to make a 5000 mile round trip, you would be on the top of my list of places to visit.

And as for the revolver thing..... I'm guilty as charged. I don't have a collection to speak of, but mine are all "working guns". I love wheel guns for the places I know I'm most likely to "need" a firearm for a tool.

Well we'll leave the light on for ya if you ever come this way. I do someday want to get back to my roots in Missouri and just might make a road trip out of it, be a lot closer to Texas and make a big criss cross visit a bunch of folks from here, kind of a big jag but hit Florida and give Wyn a hard time, Indiana of course, not sure I can handle the congestion up in the colonies Ma and such, like to see it though, the capital with a new pres, Gettysburg, all that history stuff, my pal there at the museum, take a long time and a lot of stops.
Gotta do a face to face with Jocko, life wouldn't be complete without that.

We could hunt for my property stakes while your here so you don't get rusty.

I invented Indiana.......everyone knows that. I might come on a Honder 3 wheeler too and park in front of your house if I can find a spot in between all the horse trailers.
