  • Iconic S&W Rimfire Revolver

    1953 K-22, 5 screw

    All good now.

Gunsmith said it hadn't been shot enough to loosen up, so he tuned the action and reshaped the cylinder bolt which was dragging.

A little touch of Van's cold blue, and we're headed to the range tomorrow to see how it shoots!

Very nice..... if you want to trade for my newly acquired Nickle M36 .38 spl, I would consider it. I don't really "need" another .38, but would certainly give that .22 wheelie a good home .... besides, we're both in Texas so a face to face trade surely wouldn't be a difficult meeting arrangement

My very first gun was a beautiful 4" blue K-22 bought for my 15th birthday by my grandfather...I carried that pistol in my car everyday to highschool which tells you how old I am...

That revolver was super tight and accurate, I was feared by squirrels and crows for miles around...Some scum bag later broke into my apartment and stole it along with a Winchester 22 mag lever action rifle and a nickel plated Colt Trooper Mark III .357 I had just bought...

I never saw any of the three again but if I could have any one of them back it would be the K-22 hands down...Those era of S&W revolvers were made when craftsmanship and attention to detail were the rule....

I hope you enjoy your K-22 Doc and let us know how she shoots...

Shot it for the first time today at 50yds.

It's as accurate as the Model 41.

Model 10 shot well at 50, but nothing like the K-22

Oh lawdy doc, those pics make me hard!

My brother has one of those, and it is the sweetest shooting .22 revolver ever.
