I love that 27 and 19! Both are gorgeous! If you ever decide to part with either let me know! The 5" barrel was the most common length on the 27 and the 4" is the most common on the 19 as well. Any dash numbers on them?

They're not mine to sell. My son has to make the decision.

I also like the 27, but I don't know why.
I look at the mod. 10 and I think **** Tracy, Sam Katchem. I don't know why. (Ah come on!, **** is a name LOL )
I look at and hold the mod. 19 and think it balances really nice.
Years ago I did a lot of turning 4" square butts into round butts. What a nice balance that made!
Knowing my son he will sell or trade them all off eventually. He's a musician, but also a salesman at heart. The only guns he's kept are the ones I've customized for him.
Right now he likes the 4" Python and the mod 10

      The mod 10 is a -5
      The mod 19 is a -3
      The mod 27 is a -2
Do you know anything about manufacturing dates?

I know what Zoot Suiters were, but what did they have to do with guns?

And the guys over at Smith and Wesson Forums can give you some very good ideas on actual dates with the serial numbers.

              Was the seller on crack?

Damn, the only thing that ever follows me home are stray cats and dogs. Wish I were kidding.

LOL, When my son was emailing back and forth with this guy. Here's some pics of items he had. There was more from his inheritance of guns. There were more mentioned but he never sent pics.

OMG....I'd need my inhaler if all those guns suddenly fell in my lap.

I'd swallow my inhaler if they fell into mine.

Kind of sad that fine guns like these usually get passed on to folks who really don't appreciate them.

In this case they found a proper home although how long they live there is apparently subject to debate, but usually not the case.

I'm sorry if I made it seem that this last batch of guns were also in the trade, they weren't. They were just other items that my son could have picked from. He didn't chose any of them.
My son's been trying to get back in touch with this guy because there's supposedly 4 more gun safes that the now deceased father had at another house in Bend. The guy isn't responding.

I was referring to the guy your son got them from. The son obviously doesn't appreciate the guns. I'm thankful that your son got some nice ones and hope they are loved and appreciated either by him or whoever he blesses with them.

Ain't that the truth. I was thinking about getting a Colt Python - until I priced one. Makes several of my 1911's look like steals.
