  • S&W Nickel 39-2

Anyone have an idea of what a nickel plated 39-2 in like new condition( like 98% condition ) is worth. Just ballpark numbers are ok. It comes in box and original grips.

Theres one at a pawn shop nearby but they want 600 for it which i thought sounded a bit high. Not even sure if ill get it anyways but just in case...

    What yall think?

P.S. I already checked gunbroker and they only had one nickel one and there was no buy now price. Bid started at 450 or something. And the blued 39-2 prices were all over the place

I've never encountered a nickel 39. My uncle had a mint blued one but left it to his son in law, I had one in an earlier life and it was a great gun.

Might not be many around and hence the premium price.

I have a Sig Sauer P220/45 two tone with factory nickel slide
and controls I bought NIB in 1998.
The gun still looks like new.
Also have a nickel boron Fail Zero finish on my Glock G27 slide.
5000+ rounds later it still looks NIB.
Nickel finish seems to look good, hold up well and clean easy.

I have a blued S&W 39-2 the first handgun I ever purchase back in the early 80's. I still love shooting it, and it eats anything you put in it never had a malfunction of any kind. Great gun.

You would most likely get a better idea of the value of the pistol over on the S&W Forum.
There are a lot of knowledgeable S&W owners/collectors there.
