  • Model 41 - The Two Barrel Solution

Tried shooting rimfire silhouette matches by switching from the Model 41 with optics to the K-22 with irons, and the transition just wasn't as easy as I thought. I hadn't planned on them being that different.

So, another 5.5" heavy seems to do the job well.

Swapped them back and forth for a couple of days at the range and they both hold zero perfectly.

And I can shoot the M41 with irons better than I can shoot the K-22 with irons when I'm swapping from M41 to K-22.

Sure is fun and very inexpensive compared to all my centerfire pistols.

Except buying the 41 or the barrels. I have a 41 1973 vintage and I love it, I'd love to get the 5" barrel for it too but I'm happy just the way she is. She's a shooter for sure.

There is nothing more fun than a good .22 and a bunch of soda cans!

I made a similar decision with an older Model 46 by purchasing a new barrel which was drilled and tapped for a red dot base.

the 70'sI sold a customer a 412 with an extra barrel andthat barrel had the extension front sight that slide out about 3 inches or so. Really cool looking, Not to sure how accurate it was in that mode but it looked cool and that was one hell of a quality made Smith back then to.
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

I drilled front sight on mine and added fiber optic, it works great!
