  • I just had to do it (Suppressed Rossi Youth .22lr)

I have a Rossi Youth Combo 410/22 single shot. I sent the 22 barrel off to be threaded, bought a rail for it, and mounted a cheap scope. That stuff cost more than the original purchase.

I know, this is completely ridiculous. And that's why I like it.

I'm into rifles that I can break in half and throw in a bag over my shoulder.

P.S. YES, that notch in the rail is supposed to be there!

Thats cool, an in town "pest control gun" if you ask me...

Is that the same suppresor you were buying for the P-22 or do I not remember correctly?
I was once asked if I was "a paranoid for carrying my Kahr".
    "Nope" I said, "just prepared".
" prepared for what" he asked?
    "more stuff than you are"

Yep. That suppressor now serves quadruple duty. Decided not to get a threaded barrel for the Ruger MK III. Too expensive/difficult because I'd have to send the whole upper in or buy another one with a new serial number and all.

Just read an article about suppressors the other day and was amazed to find out that 39 states allow them for hunting. There is even a newly formed group called ASA (American Suppressor Assc.?) that's sole reason for being is to promote suppressors.

I was very intrigued in getting one until I read the part about a $200 tax per suppressor!!! Added to the cost OF the suppressor. Looks like you found a way to make it reasonable!

yeah, the $200 sucked, and the 6-month wait for it to get approved. But I can use it on many different guns and I can shoot without worry about disturbing anyone nearby, which is important when trying to find places to shoot outdoors other than official ranges.

I may get a .223 can next. Maybe. Can't really go subsonic with those.

many years ago like a dumb sh!t a local class 3 dealer had for sale a few of the fighter pilots Berettas that was fitted with a silencer that had about 5 rubber dics in it. This gun was dead silent but good for about 25 shots and then it started to get loud. The neat thing about the Beretta was that it has a sigleshot lever on it, in that it would fire and ot eject the casing, so it was super quiet and left no trail. a flip of the lever andit was full semi. Screw on slencer and blued tomatch the gun. This was one really super peace. I passed on it back then as I had toge the $200 stamp andwaintmonths to get it and the gun back then, he was aksing a grand for it, which for today, this gun would have been worth alot more. I seem to recall thesilencer came from a silencer company in Florida.
