I just can't get over that my new HK45C is nearly identical in size, weightOriginally posted by les strat View PostBut the hole isn't
and every dimension to my P2K 357 compact.
Even fits in the same holster like a glove.
Had a USP 45 Compact years ago.
But this HK45C seems smoothed, rounded and somehow smaller.
I'm waiting to get her converted to LEM and have Big Dot NS added to shoot her.
But I can already tell she has the same outstanding ergonomics as my P2K.
Just in a Big Bore caliber.
Barth is happy now.

Is that the plural, or model? My XD45 Tactical 5" must be the largest pistol I've held in a while. It's just humongous, but it feels great firing it... 13+1 rounds of 230-grain .45's before reloading!

In case you've never read this, here is a link to an interview with Vickers and Hackathorn regarding the HK45 development. Interesting comments and insight into HK's process.Originally posted by Barth View PostHad a USP 45 Compact years ago.

The tests done at this site are very reassuring to HK owners, demonstrating big time reliability. I was struck by the 1911 Vs HK45 comparisons.
I have a chance to trade even my USPc stainless, (code date KH), for a HK45c. Still on the fence but I'm considering it seriously though I really love that USPc, (my first HK)

Interesing and curious evolution of choice, made by certain military units, in the switch from the large yet supremely competent HK MK23 to the much smaller HK MK24 (HK45c). Especially considering the HK45 series was concieved prior to the Army's reguest for a new general purpose .45acp pistol some years ago.Judging by today's left wing, looks like Senator Joe McCarthy was right after all.

Thanks for the link. I always wondered about HK and the 1911, since they and Glock are about the only majors not to have one.Originally posted by ripley16 View PostIn case you've never read this, here is a link to an interview with Vickers and Hackathorn regarding the HK45 development. My first HK was also a SS compact USP45, but it got stolen. I've since replaced it along with buying a full sized USP 40 for HD and the HK45c. I've often said that if I knew that I was going to be in a gunfight, the HK45C is the pistol I would take. The experts seem to agree.

I held one at my LGS after looking at the 5.25" XD .45. $599 OTD for the 5" tactical. I thought that was a good price for all it comes with (holsters, etc) and night sights. It was huge, but felt great.Originally posted by wyntrout View PostIs that the plural, or model? My XD45 Tactical 5" must be the largest pistol I've held in a while. I ask, sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people, except for a few public officials.
To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them.

Tis the model, Wyntrout. Dimensions about the size and weight of a PM9.Originally posted by wyntrout View PostIs that the plural, or model?
