A: When the 9mm/357/40 are too damn big to start with!
The HK45C is certainly larger than the single stack micro pocket 9mms common today. Much larger than my MK40 for sure.

But I was surprised how she compares to most compact double stack concealed carry/service pistols in 9/357/40.
My new HK45C fits like a glove in the same holsters as my HK P30, HK P2000 and Sig P239 guns.
Really about Glock 19 size in a Big Bore.

I know this is a Kahr forum.
And I love my MK40 Elite.
But I don't think this fling with the German girls will end soon...

Anyway I've been here too long and think of this place as family.
    It's too late now.

most of the german gals I seen over seas need to be told to shave under their arms and shave their legs. I seen cows that had less hair on them. Just sayin.
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

That notch in the rail is supposed to be there

"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."
        --Thomas Jefferson (1764).

The new HK45 and HK45C guns are actually made here in the good old USA - LOL!

So she's really an American girl with a German heritage.

Wow. It's hard to tell that from pictures and I can never find any HKs at LGSs. I'll keep an eye out, though.
              Very interesting...

Some are assembled in Columbus, but my HK45C is German built, as are my two USP's.

                  My understanding is that;
                  1) All new HK45 and HK45C guns are made in Columbus OH USA.
(Mine has a 09/10/2012 test fire date)
                  2) HK45Cs were previously made in Germany.
                  3) P30, P2000 and USP guns continue to be made in Germany - for now.

                  that is all...

Das ist nicht ganz richtig, HK’s American manufacturing facility is in Newington, New Hampshire.
                    regards,

The facilities HK has built here were in preparation for military sales. Small arms used by our military have to be made here in the U.S. The HK was favored to be the new "1911" when the army trials were conducted a few years ago. The HK45c is currently used by our special forces.

HK provides several other small arms, notably the M27 IAR, MP7 SMG and HK416. These are used by special forces only and I guess they can buy outside the U.S. as I believe they are made in Germany and not in their plant in Newington, New Hampshire, but I'm not sure of that. The HK45c is made there.
Judging by today's left wing, looks like Senator Joe McCarthy was right after all.

                        Makes sense.
I don't pretend to know the details of why or what for.
Just that all new HK45 and HK45C guns are being produced here.
I had heard that US Special Forces had adopted the HK45C/HK45CT.
Naturally, much like Sigs, the older German made ones are being favored by some.

My spanking new P30 40 LEM is made in Germany.
                        (11/04/2011 test fire date)
                        I believe all P30s are.

I can only speak for my HK45C which has the date code AK or 2009. This tallies since I bought the pistol two years ago. It has a "DE" on the left side of the slide and "HK Sidearms GmbH Made in Germany" on the right side of the frame. Both indicate a German manufacture. I haven't checked if all new HK45's are made in the US or when that may have started. This might make some sense since the 45 ACP is primarily an American round. I read some time ago on the HK Forum that the US guns are assembled from German made parts, but I didn't verify that.

Both of my USP's, a SS compact 45 and FS 40 cal, have made in Germany stamped on the frame.

O'Dell baited me into that, it's not my fault really.
                            I'm calling Shenanigans!!!

                            The gun has on the frame;
                            Heckler & Koch Inc.

It's an honest mistake and O'Dell Hornswaggled me.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Far as I know only new HK45 and HK45C/CT guns are made here.
I think the frames may be made here and most of the rest of the gun is imported?

                              Whatever.
My Toyota Tacoma 4x4 was really assembled in Texas or something like that right?
I really don't care about that.
