  • Another Shield 9

Been wanting another one since I made the mistake of selling mine to my son. It's been his EDC ever since. Was perusing the S&W forum this morning and came upon a post stating Bud's Police Supply had them in stock. Checked out their web site, had my credentials verified and picked one up for $335 with free shipping. They sold out within a couple of hours.

It certainly won't replace the PM9, but it'll be a nice addition.

Wow, that's a killer price. Congrats on the purchase.

Man thats fantastic....Those are really great little guns, not as small as the PM/CM Kahrs but perfect for IWB and the perfect backup if your duty pistol is a M&P..Congrats on a super deal!!!

My local police supplier was selling them for $300, per their ad I got; not sure if they actually had any though...

Am I safe to assume those numbers are LE selling prices? That gun still sells for $449 all day if you can find one. I felt good about my $399 price back in April. I am off today to get some AmeriGlo I-Dot night sights pressed on.

I looked real hard at the Shield before I bought my CM9. Being a southpaw I just couldn't get over the obvious right-handed bias. The safety was hard for me to flip and the whole thing felt wrong. I really wanted to like it but couldn't.

Now that I have the CM9 I have no regrets at all.

I'm left handed also and, when compared to the Kahr, I don't see any bias whatsoever. The only difference between the Kahr and Smith is that the Smith comes standard with an external safety while the Kahr external safety is an option. Neither is ambidextrous. Moot point.
