  • SCCY CPX2 9mm Review - Part 1: Initial Impressions

Just got this CPX 2 Gen 2 pistol to replace my Kahr CW9. These are my first impressions before taking it to the range.

I just bought one of those myself recently, and so far I like it. I only had it out once and it ran 100%. I'll be shooting it more in the near future. I find it a great gun, especially for the low cost. Mine was $259 and is a two tone like yours, it looks quite nice.

I've added traction grips to mine, and rounded off the edges of the trigger face and it feels better. Mine has the nearly flush slide "lock" as opposed to yours with the bigger slide release. I think the trigger pull is great for its intended purpose, and that is a conceal carry gun, and it makes a safety completely unneeded. It's no range trigger of course and I need to spend more time mastering it for target shooting, but so far...I like mine.

$259 was a good deal. I paid $289 for my CPX-2 TT at Guns and Gear in Rogers, MN. Like yours, mine was 100% functioning. Accuracy was another story, and I'll update my own thread when the new barrel gets here.
