  • Morning hiking/ shooting in the high desert (Short VID at end)

I just simply have fun with the Wife. She loves the simple things. She jumps in and plays. She is a better shooter than she gives herself credit for.

We were out playing with the Saiga .223 in the desert down the street. She got a new shirt from a friend at work to show off.

We have the ability to go places close to home that are unpopulated, as if we were the only people on the planet. Hiking and finding shade, enjoying the natural beauty, and feeling the breeze blow in the high desert. Just another great day with this incredible woman.

The gun is a Saiga conversion, I converted to use Galil Orlite mags and some selective steel Galil mags. The gun is a joy to shoot. Even moreso since installing the brass buffer that I created for it. No more dinged up .223 brass in the Saiga. It launches the brass. Ejection is at 2' o clock with the brass flying 12.5 yards away. Works like a charm.

My wife and I have nothing in common, except two kids.

What about the forty-something years of history?

Cool gun. What red dot is that? Looks similar to a bushnell I have on a .308 socom II that I really like.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

The greatest thing my wife and I have in common? We like to be in different places at the same time.

Cool gun. Cooler wife. Consider yourself blessed.

Seriously, Mrs. b4 went trap shooting with us the other night. She whined a little because she's not used to her shotgun. Ever heard of practice????

Yes, it is a TRS-25 by Bushnell. I have a few of them laying about. I have found them to be decent little red dots. i just learned that a company is offering QD lever mounts for them. I think I will give them a tumble.

                      gun papa,
You sure have a keeper in that gal
Thanks for sharing the excellent photos and video

Did you have to put a bullet guide in that Saiga to use the Galil magazines?
Any chance we can see the buffer you created?

                      Regards,
