I like a 3" barrel on small/medium frame revolvers, but I've no complaints with the 4.25" tube on my SP101:

Since getting a GP100, the SP itch has started. I'm thinking snubbie, so it's easier to carry, otherwise why bother.

How are the triggers on yours????????????????????? I have only had the opportunity to handle 2 of them(didn't shoot) and on one, the trigger seemed a tad gritty. They were both new. Not a knock on the firearm, just curious....................

The SS 3" SP-101 is a keeper. My wife's favorite handgun. The GP-100 ain't bad either.

If you like it now you will love it after you had a spring kit and stoning done to it......soooooo smooooth. had it done to my .357 mag GP100 and I can hit all day long double action like never before.....try it you'll like it even more. It was worth double what I paid for the work at a local gun shop.

Long, hard and gritty - at least compared to Kahr.

I probably have 100 rounds through it and some dry firing and it seems to be getting smoother, or I'm getting used to it. Honestly, I don't shoot it very well in DA mode. I have trouble with such a long pull.

I bought this for my dad earlier this year for home defense. He hated snubbies but could no longer handle his S&W Model 19-4. The 3 inch SP101 seemed like a good compromise.

My GP is old, I bought it used, and the trigger is very smooth. Single action is crisp like it should be. Not S&W machine precise, but quite good. I think shooting it a lot will smooth it out, no need to take it apart.

Try Shoot Straight, I believe they have a armorer and or gun smith on location, that's who did mine in Lakeland.

I was comparing the triggers with my speed six, and my speed six was a lot smoother..........still long, but smoother, no grit...............still, with a bit of smoothing, sp101's could be real good. It's just, justifying the cost versus the cost of the firearm.......................

Cost was minimal. I believe it cost between $50.00-$60.00 but it now feels like a well tuned machine, match grade type feel to it. I liked it so well I brought a few others over for a similar make over.
