^^^ I've never been any brand of guitar fanboy...seems I got one from everybody. I do have a real nice J45R that never sees the inside of its case. And those thick necks are good for building up your gun grip. (I can rationalize anything) My cousin OTOH sticks with one brand at a time but that brand changes over the years. At last count he had over 20 Paul Reed Smith's. Other than color, I can't tell one from the other.

I'm a fanboy of Kahr, Ruger, S&W, Colt, North American (yep, those little tiny thangs), Remington, Springfield Armory.... you name it.

Even love wheelguns. Here's my unaltered 3 screw BH .357 - bought it new in 1968:

I like guns, all kinds of guns, most particularly handguns. Some I like better than others, that's my cross to bear.

I love "that guy" be he gun counter clerk or customer. They are so much fun! I am fond of seeing how far I can "test" them before they give up. I do have a mean streak, and must use it on occasion.

I will admit I'm kind of a fanboy for Gibson guitars. If it's not a Gibson, GTFO!!!

Come to think of it, Gibson necks are a lot like Glocks being that they're about as thick as 2x4's!

I was a Fender fanboy for a while, and worked up to an American signature strat before trading it a year later for a Korg M50 synth and a G&L Tribute telecaster. So much value in those G&Ls, and truly the South Koreans make some really nice stuff these days - the finish and playability are outstanding.

I'm kind of a snob about whiskey though, and used to be the same about imported cigars when I used to smoke.

Not so about guns - there are only a few brands I wouldn't shoot or own.

My grandfather bought a G&L Tele a few years back when he was still playing and, you're right, the playability is awesome! It was used but the neck was still like butter.

[IMG][/IMG]As much as I love 6 strings, I've always been a bass man. What can I say, I love the low end! This is my main rig. '79 Gibson RD Artist and a mid '70s SG CMI Systems hybrid. It's only 100 watts but it hits harder than William Perry driving a Ford F650!

Cool geetar - I only had one in the '60s - bought it from Sears - it was a $50 cheapo single pickup with a little amp & speaker built into one end of the hard carrying case.
Never really learned how to play it, & finally gave it to my SIL's little brother.

Like this one? I came across a Silvertone once. Quite an interesting little package but highly collected for the niche factor. They were cheap in price but surprisingly decent sounding.

My first guitar was a Danelectro.....................$45................ .........then I moved up to a Gretch solid body.........$450......................then I gave up.

this is certainly not the "best" guitar I play but it is my hands-down favorite electric. I bought it used a long time ago from a nice gentleman who claimed to be Loretta Lynn's guitarist and runs a little shop in central Ohio.
